I picked K9 because he will get more playing time that Shaheed.

On special teams, I'd also argue that the guys getting the blocks without drawing flags have a lot to do with Shaheed's success as well. He was running through some pretty wide holes much of the time.

I'm trying to decide if your signature is blissfully smartassey or an innocent dyslexic typo we all do from time-to-time.

Either way, I'm here for it!

For me it Shaheed all the way. Walker while I like him just is not Barkley or CMC. getting a good to great KR and a decent #3 or 4 WR is hard to find.

My gut feeling though is both of them are gone for way more money.

Shaheed opens up the game for whoever is at running back in a way that no current Seahawks’ running back opens the game for receivers.

The Seahawks’ heavy set opens up the game for receivers, but it doesn’t change much based on who is in at RB.

Seahawks seem to always find some sort of combination of running backs to make things work. But Rasheed is unique and can be a game-changer. Watching the Rams give up so many yards just to avoid kicking to him said a lot about the fear he generates.
This.

TBH, I've liked a couple posts - but honestly - I'm going contrary to the question. Separate from my/many 'K9 is sooooo replaceable'.

And I'm no cap wizard either.

Overall I'd like to retain them both. I would also like to get a complimentary RB that isn't Charbs to fill out our set and give K9 some options.

The part of me that makes me nervous with K9? Contract year. Enough said. Throw a big bag at him right now and what, watch him turn to glass?

In a perfect world I'd rather have both and NO Riq. But it's not a perfect world so I'd have to say: Shaheed.

Shaheed , and there's a few guys coming out we can draft in the 1st 3 rounds to replace K9. Love, Singleton, Johnson, Price, Coleman, Washington

K9 because we rely heavily on a balanced running attack. Outside of a few decent plays Shaheed didn't get as much looks as I thought. Great on st tho.

I thought in less than half a season in a run heavy offense shaheed climbed his way up the depth chart to #2 and then when it counted most showed what he really could become.

If I had to choose one, I'd go with K9. He's been an integral part of the team since he was drafted. Shaheed is a talent but there are more WRs that can potenially add what Shaheed does avaialbe. His role isn't irreplaceable either.
I thought Zack looked good often too, and even holani had some runs that made me want to see more of him. I just think shaheed is so unique

Yep, I think shaheed on offense makes the whole secondary take a little step back

A full off season and regular season with Shaheed will look very different in my opinion.

Although he “tilted the field” in many ways, his receiver production was actually quite abysmal, particularly considering what we gave up.

I voted Shaheed purely based on position and am excited to see how the trifecta of Horton, JSN, and Shaheed for a full season plays out.

Schefter reporting that Shaheed is probably going to hit FA. Bummer, but with Tory Horton around, John isn't motivated to break the bank for Shaheed like some other team will.

That tells me that John is confident that Horton will stay healthy which is a gamble, imo.

I think it would be a smart idea to draft another WR in the 3rd round this year.

Does that mean that there hasn't been any meaningful negotiations with the Seahawks? I ask because I remember him saying, right after he joined the team, when asked about 2026, rather than saying "I want to be the highest paid return specialist in the league" 😉 , he said: "I'm here to stay. I'm excited. We'll figure something out after the season ends". Other positive quotes of his can be easily googled.

Hitting the FA market without negotiating sounds like he wasn't happy about something;e.g-not getting used more as a receiver (which would have probably increased the dollars he could have negotiated for) ?

Is this the rise of "franchise kick returner" into the ranks of QBOTF, #1WR, shut down corner, feature back, etc.?

No disrespect to Walker intended, I love the guy, but I think keeping Shaheed is more important. Guys who can regularly break open a return TD are a lot harder to find than good running backs, who are more heavily dependent on scheming and the O-line than returners are on special teams blocking. ST blocking is hugely important to be clear, but you have a lot more flexibility in finding cheap guys who can do that on ST compared to the OL.
