Point by point:
1.) Injuries - even with a conservative game plan and a lot of the running game, we'll move the ball well down the field on them. With Okung out for most of the game against SF, we still held our own against one of the best defensive front lines in the game. Our passing game was good for just eight completions, 142 yards, and a touchdown. In a blowout. Jax is hardly the same caliber. Our running game will do just fine scoring us points.
2.) Even with missing key players like pass rushers, Okung, etc., we curb-stomped a very good team last Sunday. We missed several key opportunities, down several key players, and still sent them packing whipped and beaten. We don't need all of our key guys for this game to score.
3.) I don't believe much in the "emotional let down" factor either, at least not with this team. Pete has said that they are playing every game now like it is the championship game. That will play into this match-up. Our defense is nasty. They get in the heads of their opponents and cause a lot of turnovers, whether their opponents believe they are outmatched going into the game or not. They will take the ball away and either put it in the end zone or give it to our offense to do the same.
4.) Gus Bradley - I don't see us taking it easy on him and giving him the illusion he's doing better than he actually is just because he used to work here.
This has the makings of a trap game, but if as Pete says, they play every one of them like a championship game, this one won't be close.
