It wasn't just the bad punt and kickoff coverage. It was the muffed punts, the fumbles and turnovers, the blocked field goal, the returning kicks and getting tackled at the 10-yard line, when they should have just taken the knee in the endzone, etc.

This speaks to attention to detail and coaching experience. He's in over his skis until he proves otherwise.

Eh...

Muff punts/kicks aren't always an indication of bad coaching. Maybe you can put blame on the coaches if they keep putting the same guys in for return kicks/punts. I don't know, it's too fluky to me personally.

I would agree some of the attention to details were missing and that is an indication of bad coaching.

It happened more than once, but fair enough. Don't think that guy is on the team anymore.

And pretty sure coach Mac has gotten into his ear about tightening other things up, so we will see.

Some of the problem may stem from practice time, or lack thereof. They've been installing an entirely new offense this off season. Coaches and coordinators are always jealous of their practice time. Maybe Kubiak is hogging practice time of players who would be secondarily on special teams.

Just spitballin' but most of those errors look like they've been poorly coached. Plus, there are new rules changes that lead to more returns, so the players are getting used to that.

I think MikMac will be looking into this this week.

I think he makes a solid point. We gave up a lot of return yardage last year. Now we give up two huge kick returns in one game. What is the deal? Prior to last year we were top tier in ST's play and had been for years.
Fair enough. I'll worry when it's time. That's all ✌️

"I'm worried it's not going to be better" is not exactly comeuppance-worthy. Seems to be a fair way of expressing concern.

And I'm sure Ycrew knew we were going to be trading for Rashid Shaheed.

Why does everything have to be a crow force-feed?

The Harbaughs are an interesting bunch. Now that Jim's no longer in our division, I've come to appreciate the dude. He's unique among NFL coaches. And I think John is a pretty good coach. I think Baltimore will miss him next year.

I agree. Old man/grandpa Jim is farrrr cooler than middle aged Jim. There's something a little bit more....endearing about this version of Jim Harbaugh.
