I know he won't win it but he should be in the running for Defensive Rookie Player of the Year (or whatever that award is called)

3manwori is like having a big nickel, LB, and safety in one. And he wears the number 3. Think that name would catch on?

After that Falcons game, DROY should be a cinch.
First time in NFL history that a Rookie had a Sack, a Tackle for a Loss, an Interception, and a Blocked Field Goal in a single game.

Yeah but the NFL is weird with its "standards" of how they view DPOY....

I posted earlier that Emmanwori was second in Vegas betting odds to win defensive rookie of the year before the Atlanta game. I thought that with the last game that he would overtake Carson Schwesinger, but he is still second at this point. On Draft Kings, Schwesinger is -450 and Emmanwori is +300. No one else is close to those two.

I was high on him before the draft and was pumped when the
Hawks took him, I saw at least a Kyle Hamilton clone but he
appears to be on track to be even better than him, I didn't
expect that.
Emmanwori is a better athlete. Kyle Hamilton is just a phenomenal player. I wasn't against the pick yet didn't know much about him. I felt good about it because I think John Schneider is running this team and killing it.

Is it EE-man-worry?

UH-min-WAR-EE?

Enquiring minds!
I guess it's no worse than Manu Tuiasosopo.

That brings up another subject. Back in the late 70's/early 80's, I used to turn the TV volume down then turn on the radio as I was watching a Seahawks game. The network announcers frequently mis-pronounced player's names, but the radio announcers literally lived with the team vs. the come-and-go TV guys, so they always had the correct pronunciation. That's one of several reasons why I always preferred the radio description vs. TV. Pete Gross was my ATF announcer.

I was going to say the same thing. What makes a great defense is when you struggle to figure out who the best player is.
I'd go one further. It's a great defense when opposing teams struggle to figure out who the best player is. It must be so tough to gameplan against this defense.

Okay so this is a hot take (and a selfish one, at that) from me but I feel that if you're on a losing team, you shouldn't be winning awards.

Emmanwori should be winning this, not Carson. But that's how it goes with these awards. They don't care what your team's record is. They only focus on individual performance in a vacuum and Carson has done more than Nick...somehow.

oh well.

No, but. he was a special teams guy that made some good plays, playing behind a good player Lawyer Milloy, and let's get this clear right now, Kam isn't playing the same position that Nick is playing in this defense.... Just the thought of thinking Nick is better than Kam at this point is absolutely crazy.. 🤣
I never said he was better. Just pointing out that Kam never did this as a rookie. He’s got a ways to go yet to get to Kam level but he’s off to an amazing start. 🤷‍♀️
