I'll say it once, and I'll keep saying it over and over again. You cannot do anything offensively that you game plan for, if your OLine and DLine is not consistently winning at the line of scrimmage.

People want to call out Walker saying he's still dancing too much. That's BS, how do you have time to dance when you're getting hit in the backfield damn near every play. And let's be clear. Charbs wasn't lighting the place up either.

So then that of course leads to, you cant run play action if you have no running game.

I saw zero targets to the tight ends, I saw zero targets to Horton, I saw the same stupid bubble screens for loss that we've been enjoying for the last how many flippin years now.

On the flip side, I saw very little penetration from the DLine in the second half especially, which gave Purdy time to go through his reads and find the open guys all day.

I saw zero adjustments for McCaffery. Thank goodness Kittle went down because Macdonald obviously had no answer for him either.

And don't even get me started on Woolen.

We were promised an identity, and we saw that identity in pre season. Soooooo, where were the gaping holes? Where was the moving pocket to buy Darnold time? Where was the full back on a wheel route, where were the tight ends? Where was the pass rush? Where was the setting the edge? Isn't that what we got Lawrence for?

So I blame the trenches (both sides), the head coach/DC, and the OC for this loss. And Woolen of course.

It all starts in the trenches, if they aren't effective, nothing else you scheme up matters. 🤷

This is…. Laughable. That’s all I have to say without repeating what others and myself has said about Walker and his issues and Charbs.

Whomever that bowling pin was playing right guard! It looked to me like he struggled most of the day except when he got help.
Oh, don't get me started. I said coming into the season that while I'm feeling pretty good about the O line group for a change, Bradford is my one major concern. So far, so bad.

A lot of blame to go around.

Overall I thought both the defense and offense underperformed based on expectations. Sam looked so mid it was surprising.

Riq needs to go. Just the same old same old getting burnt with that dude.

Talk about a game we should have won.

Just disappointed right now.
Those two 3 and out series with the roll out to the left, throw back to to the right play and then the lateral after the reception....that was hot garbage. Offence truly needs to be better. Stick with the bully ball. Oline was pretty much clean until when it mattered unfortunately. Hopefully that 49ers TE sends a thank you basket to Woolen for his 1st TD

I go with the obvious, Riq, because I know he can be so much better.

Kupp - can't say I'm surprised. It's going to take time to find his rhythm.

A lot of players didn't play well on O and D.

I'll have to watch more tape throughout the week for me to process it.

I see a lot of fans on here saying they will review and watch tape.

This is a genuine question, Why? Dont you guys have work? a family? friends?

I definitely don't have time now with being head of household but it's entirely possible to watch "All 22" footage on YouTube in bites (along with commentary) and be more informed. Back in my Seattle bus commute days I would do this to fill time on rides. I just don't have the interest anymore but don't fault anyone who does love diving deeper.

only giving up 1 sack to Nick Bosa is a win

obviously it's Woolen

shout out to Cooper Kupp though for dropping a third down slant that hit him right in the hands.

Abe Lucas. What a joke. Gets paid and gives 0 effort with the game on the line.
You really blaming Lucas not blocking Bosa by himself ? The rest of the 49er DL is middling at best...Bosa is their best player. But we left Abe to block one of the better DL in the league...with no help.
On one of the most critical plays of the game

That was a clear fumble, Sam outright dropped the ball
Saw the replay and you're right that it was indeed a fumble.

The way the ball came out, though, made it seem like he threw it so that's on me.

Abe Lucas still was pushed into his arm as he was throwing it which caused the fumble.

It's a win sort of.

But in the moments that mattered, that's when that "sack" occurred.

Riq is who he is. I'm disappointed in Kupp. For all the shit I gave that signing I was hoping to eat crow massively.

I'm not particularly disappointed in Darnold. I think the talent around him isn't particularly high and he didn't make egregious mistakes.

That's on COACHING, in particular Kubiak.

And I agree.

In a crucial situation like that, you get TWO guys on Bosa.

I know many will say woolen but Kenneth Walker is the biggest disappointment to me.

He should've been chomping at the bit to get this season off to a roaring start but what does he do?

a Meek 10 carries for 20 yards.

By comparison, Sam Darnold had 14 yards on 2 carries when he scrambled. 🤦‍♂️

It's just absolutely embarrassing and I actually feel embarrassed for him.

But he also seemed to go down on first contact which is a problem.

Charbs does not go down on first contact which is critical to get those extra yards, imo.

I think it's time to put Charbs as the RB1 and elevate Martinez (When is Houlani coming back from injury?)
I have never liked small running backs.

Kupp had a critical drop. I still feel all the problems on offense came from failure to commit to the run and play action. And after awhile it was just Sam and JSN. Everything failed cause they couldn’t be who they are
