When did Seahawk fans started hating the 49ers?

I see so much hatred from Seattle fans towards my favorite team, the 49ers, that I have to ask this? Your team barely joined the NFC West during the realignment. Not enough time to build so much hatred towards us. Before the realignment and up until this year, most 49er fans don't even care for the Seahawks. They never really got a reaction out of the 49er fan base.

You guys consider us your rivals but we consider the Rams are our rivals.

So let me ask, when did your hatred for the 49ers begin?

Mine began in the early 2000's. We had a pretty well-built team throughout until 2006, but all anyone wanted to talk about in the media was San Fransisco.

We're pretty much ignored up here most of the time by the national media, so hearing unearned adulation for what was a horrible 49er team back then was just annoying.

The real hatred started with the Alex Smith era. Every game I watched, they brought him up as a contender for MVP. Just ludicrous.

Now, it's about a QB that everyone adores that's pretty one-dimensional of a thrower and their coach is a literal p.o.s. I'm sorry, but Harbs is the most annoying coach in the NFL.

So, to sum up...it's that every year is the 9er superbowl year, every QB they have is an "MVP contender" and they earn praise from the national media when they have a horrible roster. We have to literally dominate to get noticed. Oh, and the fans are real pieces of work generally. Perfect storm.

Kap is not one dimensional and Harbs is a cool guy if you pay attention to local media rather than national media. I have to admit Kap is kind of overexposed but so is Wilson.

We've had this same roster since Nolan/Singletary years. They drafted most of the defensive players and we had talent on offense waiting to be unleashed. Harbs finally did that.

Can't really hate the 49ers since they are the best team and organization on the West Coast, in terms of the NFL.

I don't hate them overall...I actually grew up in Northern California and followed them fervently up thru their glory years. But when York took over it got difficult to root for them. Once I moved up here it was time to let go of the past and embrace the future. I do have strong dislike for certain personalities on your roster, however.

I know that feeling. We were begging the Yorks to sell the team. It wasn't till Jed took over that the team finally succeeded. We still blame the elder Yorks for wasting a decade of our football life.

They didn't care about the team at all. It was just another business they owned.

In the 9 previous years the Niners went 56-88 and made the playoffs once in the very first year of the realignment. Meanwhile, the Seahawks made the playoff 6 of those 9 years. For some unknown reason, quite a few of the 49ers fans started acting like complete pricks and acting like the division is theirs for the next few decades.

Now they bitch and moan about all sorts of things when they lose because the think if their team loses they must have been cheated even though come on now, 71-16 is an absolute annihilation.
