Right, tune in at 3pm pacific time. First will be some loud and over the top dramatic video, followed by the NBC Sunday night football theme song. Then, they’ll show the outside shot of the stadium from a helicopter with Tirico trying to get everyone amped up.
Cut to the booth where Collinsworth will bring up SB 49, crack some lame ass joke, bring up Mahomes for no reason, then to commercial break.
3:07 return, random shot of the field, poor sound design going on because NBC always drops the ball when doing big time live events of any kind. Lots of confusion.
Then they’ll cut to Chris Pratt wearing a Seahawks jersey, screaming into the microphone and ruining our moment because he has to make it about himself. 3:11 or so, Bittersweet symphony plays while Taima flies onto the field. NBC quickly cuts to Bon Jovi because they hate us, he screams into the microphone even louder, they show the entire Patriots team run on the field, camera stays with Maye for way too long, then a quick shot of Diggs looking like an incompetent dumbass before another 5 minute commercial break.
Come back, they sing the black national anthem, America the beautiful and national anthem. Random shot of an overseas military base, crowd erupting into cheers. Flyover. More bad sound design by NBC. More shotty camera work.
Then they’ll cut to commercials, followed by the Walter Payton man of the year award, and finally the coin toss. Then commercials. Then back to the game, Collinsworth acting like a giddy schoolboy before class, and then kickoff at 3:36.
