Some interesting comments here:

http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20121211/SPORTS/712119856/1018/SPORTS09#Hawk-talk

NEW YORK -- Comments about the Seattle Seahawks by members of the AP Pro32 panel. The Seahawks are ranked eighth among the 32 NFL teams this week:

Chris Berman (ESPN, ranked the Seahawks No. 8 on his ballot) -- Shutouts are hard to get. Scoring 58 points is hard to do. Did both in one game.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 10) -- It's like Pete Carroll is back at USC beating up on Washington State. Seahawks absolutely pummel Cardinals 58-0, only 11 points from equaling Carroll's most lopsided win in college.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 7) -- The Seahawks are one nasty team that plays for 60 minutes. Rookie QB Russell Wilson has 20 touchdown passes and they just shut out an NFL team 58-0.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 9) -- This team continues to impress! How about forcing eight turnovers and rushing for 284 yards in crushing the Cardinals 58-0.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 10) -- They are starting to have the look of a team you would not want to be playing in January.

I like Dan Pompei's comment the best.

A road win in convincing fashion will be exactly the confidence booster for the team and any doubters.

It's kind of weird when Colin Cowherd is the only pundit who has Seattle appropriately ranked in his power rankings (#3). It's almost as weird as when Skip Bayless was one of the first people to jump on the Seahawks bandwagon very early this season.

Things are starting to get really fun around here. But......We have to take care of our business and win at Buffalo. It's easy to skip ahead to the SNF game with SF. I hope our team is not skipping ahead. Business first. Okay.....back to your regularly scheduled fun. :)

We lose that game in Buffalo then all this positivity we are getting dumped on us is going to go poof.

This next game is huge for us.

it's beyond huge for us...a loss there, even if we win the next two at home, could bounce us out of the playoffs.

plus, we haven't won more than two in a row all year.

Exactly, at this point Buffalo is the most important game of the season. If the Seahawks want in, they at a minimum need to win two more games. If they can somehow run the table it will cap off a 7-1 second half. After winning 4 out of their last 5 that is asking a lot.

I'm not saying they can't do it, they have been so close in all of their losses, but I just want to see them make the playoffs in any capacity.

That means nothing for the Seahawks, however. We are not the 49ers, and what they can or can't do is of no consequence. What we need to do is win. To quote Al Davis 'Just Win Baby'.

Cowherd talked this morning about holding to Seahawks at 3 and he got slammed for it yesterday. He followed up with saying something along the lines of (I was driving in heavy snow so don't recall the exact words used) RW being the biggest surprise in the NFL and being absolutely for REAL

He has moved on from his man-crush on Romo (which he still says is better than his reputation and I agree) to a new man-crush on RW. Hopefully it isn't a short affair :)
