Iam not young, but I like to think that Iam progressive. I think it's what the evolution of helmets is heading to.

My initial impression was "hmm, kind of cool." But scrutinizing it further, I feel most fans would regret switching to this design (in a hypothetical scenario where this helmet would be part of a future uniform redesign). The menacing beak, an important part of the iconic Seahawk head, looks abruptly and oddly truncated. Someone unfamiliar with the NFL would be able to see that it's a big green eye on some kind of creature's head, but probably wouldn't realize it is an avian creature. To them, it could be the head of a lizard, snake, space ship, robot, or worm. Being Seahawk fans, our brain automatically fills out the beak even though it's not actually there, but someone in China might wonder what creature it's intended to resemble.

I like it too. It meshes well with our Totem Pole inspired Unis theme too I think. What is the rule on Helmets? Can you wear an alternate each season like the Jersey?

Agreed. But I think I like it anyway. If it weren't silver I would say I love it. I prefer our blue base far better than the old silver. At least the faceguard isn't silver so that's good.

I like the idea, but not that rendition of it. I don't like it more than our current helmets, but I dig the metallic silver background.

The logo needs to be smaller. Like someone said above, all you get is a couple of stripes and a big green eye. The coolest thing about our logo is the aggressive, hooked beak. You know it's a Seahawks helmet with this pic, but barely.

Not for me, if we're talking for the team. It's looks like arena league. To me, 100% of the logo's Native American inspiration is lost.

It might be OK if the full logo appeared on the jersey. But if you added that to our current uniform sets, our full logo (which I love, new and old) would be missing.
