What are your honest thoughts on Gus Bradley???

I'd like to see him implement a little more blitzing.


Other than that I have no gripes, his body of work this year speaks for itself. It needs to be tweaked here and there, maybe add a few more depth players, replace some of the older bodies, and I think it's safe to say he'll thrive next year.

Because it is Pete's system, I'm fine with coordinators coming and going, or staying and improving. But that's the head-scratcher. Our philosophy and practice has been to improve by reducing mistakes, to learn from previous errors and not repeat them. For the most part, we did that each successive game, but not in the scenario that played out in the last 35 seconds yesterday.

As has been noted many times, ARI, DET, MIA, and CHI showed us what NOT to do with the defense at the end of a close game and a victory in our hands. Our corners and safeties played well (save for the occasional missed tackle and the Roddy TD over Kam) so White and Jones were under control. In that final possession, why not play the soft zone/prevent, but absolutely VELCRO an extra guy in front of AND behind Gonzalez?

I guess it's easy to second guess now, but isn't it also easy to recognize a situation you've seen 4 times previously and change it up a little for a different result?

I liked the Blitzing but did not approve of the zone we were in. Our defense on the outside excels at man to man. Big thing for me is if you are going to blitz like that why not have the LBs in for the blitz. I know you don't want to give it away that you are blitzing but Corner blitzes have not been effective for us. All in All he called what he called. The defense needs to learn to pick up and get closer to guys in their zones as well. They need to learn how to pick up a guy and run with him for a few steps and communicate and pass off recievers go to and from other zones. Extremely difficult thing to do. Even when i played i loved Man Press> Zone.
