Thank god it didn't matter as we got a fumble on the very next play & scored a TD anyways bailing Darnold out of a terrible throw & decision to even throw it.

We lost both Shaheed and Cody White, everyone please remember this. We have not had our left tackle for two games. Kubiaked a little early on. We need two out of three of Shaheed, Cross, Horton to do anything in the playoffs.

Cross is expected to be back for playoffs and Shaheed is a concussion so hopefully will be available for first week of playoffs (or earlier)
Horton looks unlikely at this point but might come back; Arroyo should also come back for playoffs

Regardless, that is 3 turnovers this season that was caused by Lucas's guy pushing him back into Darnold, and darnold either getting his hand hit, or hitting the ball on Lucas's helmet.

Early in the season, I thought our O-line would wind up a strength, but it's not giving Sam much time. That'll be a problem for the passing game from here on out. However, the run-game was better again today, which is a win!

Officiating in the league seems at an all time low. Don't just watch this game.

Its everywhere. You keep a game close and you are literally enabling 1 or 2 bad calls in a game to be the reason you lost it.


Keeping a game close is a stupid gameplan in the playoffs.
The offense did not pull its weight today. That needs to be fixed.

We do that next week against the 49ers and we are looking at an L.

Nope, I'm calling it now, IF the zebra's don't tryln get too damned cute, the Seahawks are going to eke out their 14th win next week.

No doubt, but teams have adjusted to us as well. JSN is bracketed every game. Teams challenge us to beat them using anybody else (Horton looked like he was going to be that guy, now it's Barner). Our line still seems susceptible to inside rushes. Walker seems like he gets it one week and then act like the goalkeeper in The Big Green the next.


Other than the Rams game when we were in do or die mode, I've not seen hardly any passes travel more than 10 yards in the air. (Today there was only the INT to JSN that never had a prayer.)

So I don't know if this is intentional or if Darnold doesn't trust his line and checks down all the time, but I know it's in the playbook and Darnold has a great arm.

My impression is that it's Darnold too much in his own head. Today he had 2nd and manageable, the pocket started to collapse and opened up a huge lane to his left, and instead he turned and ran back towards his own goal line and gave up a massive sack. Stuff like that looks like analysis paralysis. A few plays later he rolled out and tucked it instead of running out of bounds. I was a little disappointed he didn't make a move inside of the pursuing DL and pick up the first, but at least he didn't freeze.

He's stop throwing picks at least, but he still doesn't look comfortable. I try to keep in mind it's everyone's first year in this offense -- not that that excuses everything. Hopefully it's good enough.

That and the Panthers' defenders bad hands (two would-be interceptions dropped, including a would-be pick-six).

I see no signs of an end to the Darnovers. The Seahawks can win anyway. The only thing they must not do is get excited and give Darnold an extension at top-QB money. There's no way they can build a roster around Darnold at top-QB money that has a chance at a title (except possibly in the first year if it's set up to make the first-year cap hit small, but then that would make later years even more of a disaster). But on his current contract, he's a good value, notwithstanding the bonehead Darnovers and unnecessary sacks.

I have never witnessed a Hawks team do this well (schedule wise) while having so many glaring weaknesses and roster holes. Given the current League landscape of having essentially a "down year" of no clear cut dominant teams, anyone who makes it into the tournament can win it. Going to be hard to predict and really kind of fun to watch.
