I don't know what it is where play callers who are pretty highly regarded when they are hired here just turn into COMPLETE AND UTTER MORONS. I'm so sick of it. Didn’t this guy set a scoring record last year in New Orleans for the first couple games before all his offensive personnel started dropping like flies? So what the hell is it? Maybe our player personnel?
OK, so it's not just me. I swear this shit drives me absolutely guano insane! I OFTEN feel as if our whole organization is cursed for the bullshit at the end of SB49. Coaches and players come here and just seemingly forget everything about winning football and become shells of their former selves. Or they leave here and become All-Pro.

Also, when was the last QB/OC combo to effectively utilize the screen game in Seattle?

They could not run it and they did not have the confidence to let Darnold get in the rhythm for the passing game. Pointless sweeps and childish trick plays were what they had. Much worse than what I expected. If this cant be fixed, fire everyone.
then why did they acquire him in the first place?

They could've just tossed any joe off the street if that was their gameplan.

Kubiak was just outsmarting himself all because he was facing off against his former BOSS (along with his bro).

I think KK pissed down his leg against his former team.

Hope he can wake the f*ck up and use the gameplan like it should've been used next week.

Bingo.

Not to sound like more of a tool than I am, but that was my main concern a couple weeks ago regarding keeping Milroe. Bringing him in for these cute little packages is a major mistake. It ruins any flow we have going, and Darnold needs all the reps he can get to adjust to this new team.
I'm not as anti-Milroe gadget play as you are in the slightest, but, the timing/situation was about as EFFING BRAINLESS as it could get.

After John got rid of those deadweights that prevented our OL's development. It all happened so fast, and he had to pacify the fair-weather fans. Signing Darnold in what was a day later was a masterpiece, something advanced classes on GMing will teach for decades.

Please, Darnold wasn't just any Joe off the street. He was a probowler, young, capable and had working history with Kubiak.

Did we sign the wrong Kubiak?

Now that's a good question.

Even if you're being sarcastic.
