I mean Tate is a cheap man's Harvin. Harvin does everything better. Seems kind of redundant.

Thats what people were saying in the offseason, right?

I would still hold that position going into next year, depending on how much Tate is looking to get paid. This team is not going to be able to keep everybody. Players like Thomas / Sherman / etc are much more important than Tate, especially when you already have Harvin. If I had to guess, I'd say if Tate gets more than 4-5m per year he will be elsewhere.

If and when Percy ever does take the field, Tate should be assigned kick off return duties as well. I think the risk outweighs the reward for Kearse and the same goes for Harvin, though for different reasons. Letting Rice go will probably free up enough money for both Tate and Browner. It gets harder after that....but Tate must be retained, IMO.

Why don't we let Harvin at least put on a game jersey before we make such judgements?

Ignorant people yes. Tate is a downfield guy. Percy doesn't fit a category hence why he requires double teams and specific game planning.

Lol. Can't wait to see both of them out there.

It's redundant, putting two elite kick returners on the field seems overkill and why does Seattle need to pay kick returners so much anyway?

I'm saying out there on the offense.

I was trying to troll and you ruined it! ;)

I think it's going to be delicious having both Harvin and Tate at WR slicing up the field together.

That, for me, is the key. Tate's never been injured, seems really sturdy and is a genuine playmaker. Harvin is too, but he's been injured for an entire season now counting the last half of last year. If we could only afford one, I'd take Tate.

Tate's staying no question. I'd be surprised if Baldwin was back though.

I mean you guys act like injuries are rare things that never happen to anyone.

Have you watched Harvin play football... like... ever? He's miles beyond Tate, and Tate is very good. Yes, I'd take a healthy Tate over an injured Harvin, but Harvin's not injury prone, he's just been injured.
