I'm interested to see if this actually happens. I have my doubts, given the pay cut Wagner would probably have to take to sign with the Hawks.

Hard pass but he is better than what we put there last season.

I'd definitely take him back, but I suspect he'll want more money than we'll be willing to pay. Not to mention we should probably see how the draft plays out before we sign him to a large contract.

I hope we welcome Bobby back. But, we didn't consider bringing back KJ Wright, who seemed to be our best defensive player against "screen passes". That could have been a great deal, but we also needed to develop our younger talent.

With the injury to Darrell Taylor and concerns about Cody Barton...this would bring back a dynamic player and excellent team-mate, but it would also bring a strong "team loyalty" element.

"Bobby come back..."

I was pissed at Bwagz after the revenge meeting -

But I'd be even more pissed if we didn't plug the hole at MLB -

What we fielded last year on D was hot garbage for a while. Irvin helped with the leadership role, and honestly, I think we should bring him back too - he had lots of gas in the tank IMO.

We have no business drafting a QB this year. Bring back bobby and bruce. Draft some dogs on the D side of the ball. Let the old guard guide the rookies for at least a year.

Bring bobby back. Even for a year. Get back to either a 4-3 or a modified 3-4 D and let's get rolling.

Bobby and Geno are great plugs until things develop more.

If at all possible, I think the FO should bring him home. The 12's and Wagner will be grateful!

Love Wagner and i'm sure he would be an improvement even at this stage of his career, but it might not be the best idea. If Brooks is going to be the guy, let him go through his struggles and grow.

As with everything else, it's all down to money. Whomever else is in the LB room, they have to be given a chance to sink or swim. I'd offer that, if BW was in Seattle in 22, the glaring need at LB would still be a relatively low priority. BWs absence showed there's an immediate and urgent need. Yes, he could/would bring improvement in 23. But, if the cost is so high it either a)replaces the possibility of signing a younger, more long-term FA or b)takes considerable snaps from rookies/other FAs/current LBs, it's too high. If BWagz is content to play limited snaps and act more as a player-coach on a small contract, great. But, he's more valuable than that to a "win-now" team. Further, I'd love to see BWagz get another ring (with one caveat) and I think he has better odds elsewhere in the immediate season. That caveat being: not in SF.

When will Brooks even be available? I highly doubt he starts the season on the field. They need to be prepared for him being gone, maybe even for the first 3 or 4 games.

I know this is selfish...

But having the chance to score a Sleevehawk retro Wagner jersey (my favorite Seahawk and fellow USU alum) would be reason enough to celebrate his return.

I do fear we will have to substantially outbid any other team that has a greater chance of making a deep playoff run. I'm always optimistic, but I see next year taking an incremental step closer, but certainly not there.
