12-5 a different way.
I have the same thing except I have us sweeping the Cards to go 13-4.

And I will be pissed alongside you after that Indianapolis loss. A truly "slip on a banana peel" moment of the season.

Yea, we're all hopeful. Things look good on imaginary paper right now.

We don't even know what we've got except a bunch of hope in Kubiak's 'non Grubb' system, a decent Oline pick, Kupp, decent looking running back in the draft who thinks he's Lynch 2.0 without having played a snap in the NFL, a decent wide receiver deep threat, and a non-horrible looking quarterback. And a developing JSN. I suppose there's more, but that's my short list.

I would say D should be as good/better than last year, but if the offense folds - well, gonna be a long season.

There's NO WAY I can even hazard a guess about this year's win/loss at this point......

Again, I'm hopeful, but we won't even know WTF we 'have' until game 4.

IMO

If the season ended at 10-7, we're missing the playoffs so that would be VERY disappointing.

I disagree, with defense playing better than last year and running game revs up, we are at least 12-5.
Slowly but surely (Don't worry, I'm not calling you Shirley...but we're counting on you) I'm beginning to understand the moments when you're not sarcastic and when you are. 😁

Over half their starters from LVIII are gone. McCaffrey is done. So is Trent Williams. They'll bounce back because of their easy schedule, but I don't think they win more than 10 games.
I seriously doubt McCaffrey is done. It would not be surprised to see the Niners have a bounce back year. They won't win the division but I don't think they'll at the bottom again.

I think the Hawks will go 11-6 or 12-5 and make the playoffs.
I think his point was that the Rams are more beatable without Donald than with him.
While I would tend to agree, they've been pretty damn good without him so far.

Sure.

But with Donald, they won a SuperBowl.

Without him? Nope.

I think they're a playoff team so long as Stafford is still the QB (though his playing days at 37 are coming to an end soon and the Division will be wide-ass open for us) but that's all they are.

Minnesota is an interesting game. They are making one of the wildest gambles this season. Offseason talk is that McCarthy will slide right in and be fine. But why? He wasn't a consensus slam dunk QB in the 2024 draft and went on to play well for part of one preseason game. That's it.

This fascinates me. Every single egg in one basket. Not a proven QB on the team. Howell may have some upside.

My Viking fan buddy is less than hopeful - but then all Vike fans are broken and have been forced to accept that misery is their fate.

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised at all with a win but Im a homer and I see a potential win in every game. They had a better season than us last year but now we have their QB. How much will their familiarity with Darnolds strengths and weaknesses benefit their game plan? Will the emotion of a "revenge game" help or hinder Darnold?
