But what if Clemons was ready in 11 months? What if week 11 or 12 Clemons was good to go? Imagine Clemons hitting his stride as the playoffs begin. It would kind of be like when Browner came back for the playoffs, he was kick ass ready to go at a time of year when most players are feeling a bit beat up.

Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, and the city of Baltimore can attest to this.

In regards to Abraham, he is known to be able to play the 3 technique. As far as homegrown options, Howard and Scruggs may come in with 8 new pounds of off-season muscle and begin to dominate with an improved power base.

Damn, I'm late to the party, but I am stoked.

Exactly HOW stoked are you Sarlacc? Is it safe to say you're THIS stoked?

Something like that, only without the bloodshed. The bloodshed comes later, when the season starts and our enemies lay at our feet.

So how long will it take San Francisco to sign John Abraham now that we've got Avril? I put the over/under at about three hours.
Ha ha. You're right, it's a fricken arms race.

Seriously, other than 3 tech DT and OLB, who the hell do we really need ? It's going to be EPIC, these games against the Niners this year. Hell, at this pace, I'm not sure the games against the Rams will be all that close. We'll crush the freakin Cards.

Nickel back, another TE to line up that can play on the level of Miller, large inventory of kleenex when the 49ers come to town.

The Niners will need a large inventory of Kotex. :(......

But we knew that already.

I bet there are still people who think Clemons is a goner

What if Avril beats him out at starting DE Leo? I don't know nearly as much as many around here but I could see Avril and Clem on the edges and moving Irvin around with someone else in the middle. No I don't see Irvin as a starting Will. I'm talking third down passing situations.

Love that view they have for signing contracts.

We've seen what happens when we get thin at the LEO position. Avril might not be here to replace Clemons or Irvin, but I feel much better about the added depth. Plus, that doesn't even take into account the positives of having another pass rusher we can move around. We need multiple threats.
