There were plenty of games I wanted Curry to be benched in.

Pretty much every game after his first one, really....

Curry's game against the Giants ( then got traded later that week ) , was the worst football game I have ever seen a Seahawk play . He only came on the field late in the game due to an injury and then proceeded to cover NY's TE's with the speed of a morbidly obese garden slug , tackle like a small child with 2 broken arms ( had Bradshaw locked for a 5 yd loss in the backfield and whiffed ) and let a Eli Manning floater hit him fair square in the middle of his helmet without his hands getting anywhere near the ball.

Remember thinking there is no way he could play for us again after that game , front office obviously felt the same way.

I remember in post games where they asked PC how he thought Curry was playing. PC would say "he played great."
I know that he's just saying that to avoid any throwing under the bus deal back then....
But at the time I really thought maybe I was just quick to judge without knowing the other variables to why he looked so bad to me.
Oh well, 5th rounder this year: possible all pro player. :)

My most disliked Seahawk of all time.

That would be the Boz.

Thing about the Boz was he "had it" until his body just broke down way to young. At least when he played the first year he was outstanding.

Curry seemed to be a bust almost from the very start and we did a lot of making excuses for him.

How many draft picks do you guys have this year? From an outsiders perspective you don't seem to have too many holes to fill so I imagine you guys will be using some of your lower picks to trade up and possibly beef up your offensive line and pass rush, or possibly as trade bait for a FA.

The thing is, that could have been the worst draft in the history of the NFL
If we didn't draft Curry, we would have drafted another dud, unless it was Raji.

The 2nd pick was crap
the 3rd pick was crap
the 4rth pick was crap

and on..on..

We should have traded it for next years 2nd round pick.

Interestingly, Wyman was talking about Boz on the radio one time..
Said that when Boz got there, in the locker room, he noticed(Wyman) that Boz had these tiny appendages.. hands and feet and knew right away that they guy was totally steroid big and that he would break down in a heart beat. Underneath all that Steroid, Boz was a small framed guy, and very brittle.

Mine too. My authentic game jersey I spent $$$ on. Dammit.

Actually I'm amazed that we got a 5th for this clown. Hooray for us.

That's my recollection as well.

The dude wore size 9 shoes.

Totally roided up.

Right now, 10. You guys have 11, most in the NFL right now.

We're being told to expect two more 7th rounders as comp picks.

Not sure how draft picks can be trade bait for a FA... explain yourself.

I saw Curry and Houshmanzedah jerseys on sale for $19 at TJMaxx a couple months ago.

Aaron Curry is still a free agent. He's not even received a futures contract. It's a small yet very real possibility that he's played his last down in the NFL, and not because of injury, but because of sucking. Saw it coming a mile away, even predicted that Ruskell would draft him and screw us all over. Definitely one of those times I wished I had been wrong.

The next time NFL network compiles a top 10 draft bust list, Curry needs to be on it. Ahead of Mirer and far ahead of Bozworth, IMO. At least Mirer gave us one decent season, and was flipped for a 1st round pick that was instrumental in the 1997 draft (Springs, Jones).

On the bright side, one of the picks we got back from the Curry trade is JR Sweezy, who has a very bright future, IMO. The 5th we get this year is really like a late 4th because Oakland picks so early. There is going to be some serious talent on the board when that Oakland pick comes up (this draft is hands down the deepest and best top to bottom I've ever seen). Would not be shocked if that trade netted us two future pro-bowlers. Seriously.
