Damn I was hoping it'd be their 4th round pick.

I've got no hate for the guy. It's not his fault he was picked in the draft where he was.

Oh but he was easily the best player in the draft and the safest pick! Still annoys me to think about all the hype, and that jerk of a GM.

In hindsight I am happy they drafted Curry. I think Sanchez was the pick if he wasn't. Not anything against Sanchez (I think he is in a horrible situation) But drafting a QB usually gives the coach and GM a three year extension.

In the magical world of what if... if Sanchez was the pick.... Mora would have gotten the benefit of a couple more years... so no Carroll... no schneider..... no wilson..... no sherman or browner.... no clemons..... etc etc.

we would be nowhere close to where we are now.....

Honestly, look at the 1st round of the 2009 draft..... maybe the worst first round i have ever seen.... at least we got a couple picks for our bust... whereas most teams are still stuck with theirs.

Problem with that idea is that Sanchez was drafted 5th. We could have taken Sanchez if we wanted him. I just don't think the Seahawks really wanted Sanchez at all, and if Curry hadn't been available, they might have tried to trade down with a team that wanted Sanchez.

if memory serves, his first game was great; then it was in the 2nd game where he got a 'roughing' penalty and then he disappeared for the rest of his career.

The perfect play to spotlight Curry as a Seahawk was against the Giants in 2011, when he had an easy chance for a pick six to ice the game and it went right through his hands...thankfully, Browner grabbed it and took it to the house.

I think you've got a bit of rewritten history going on in your head.

It's not that Machiavellian...just thought of the wrong game.

It might have been the Steelers game I am thinking about...

He still sucks.

Right game, wrong play. Curry did have a chance earlier in the Giants game to take an interception back for a TD and the ball sailed through his hands.

And if memory serves, I think we traded Curry that next week.

Thanks, I thought I remember wanted to punch the TV because of Curry in that game. He also missed the chance at a pick six against the Steelers in Week 2.
