Well, Good thing ATL doesn't have much for a D or O line. I'm more worried about Gonzales than anything...

Without anything to back this up, I think LJP might be a better pure blocker than Unger. Problem is Unger is definitely superior at getting the calls out.

Like others have said, just need to survive this week and that home-bye-home looks a lot nicer.

You're joking, right? Lately....until the 2nd half yesterday we haven't been able to "fight our way out of a wet paper bag"!!

It's going to take a "whole new attitude" to win in Atlanta. I hope that you haven't forgotten how poorly we played there last year.....almost a duplicate of yesterdays game.....except we lost!

Pete said on Brock and Danny this morning he'd just spent two hours reviewing the plays where the Bucs made those run gains.

JeanPierre can cover C just fine, especially if McQ moves over to LG and Bailey gets more snaps at LT. At any rate, I don't think our OL will look much worse and there's a small chance it could look a little better.

As for the D? I'm already concerned about stopping the run and this doesn't help. Who fills in for Red? Bennett?
That is a lot of "ifs". You might be over your limit.

Sooooo many injuries...but let's be frank, almost every other team in the league with the exception of the 49ers are dealing with similar injuries, it's just we don't know about them. How many fans of other teams are aware that Breno is out for the Hawks? Same is true of us and other teams. Injuries are a part of the game.

It's up to the coaching staff to time this right, and make sure our team is up and ready by playoff time.

How to go about it? Okung/Percy should be brought back around week 11-12, have them play 3-4 weeks before taking the last week or two off, if it doesn't effect the playoff picture. Hopefully this allows them time to get into their groove, but not enough time to suffer more injuries, lol.

Regarding Russell / Thomas III / Sherman / Lynch --pray they do not get injured, try to give them rest in week 15/16/17 if possible.

I'm not at all worried about Jeanpierre. Other than having a horrible preseason a couple months ago, he's been one of our better backups.

Bryant isn't much of a loss, especially since you wouldn't expect him to miss more than one game. McDaniel and McDonald took snaps at 5-tech in the preseason, and Bennett is a very good run defender despite his size. I suspect our run defense issues are a scheme thing. We had O-linemen all over Wagner even when we had three 300+ pounders on the DL. That just doesn't compute. Maybe Fisher figured something out and Schiano played copycat?
