The interesting thing is that Lance is rated by ALL national media and experts to be way higher than Geno and Lock. OK, there aren't much stats on Lance, and he was drafted in top five by none other than Shanahan. So the media has been basing their expert opinions solely on Shanahan's reputation? What reputation? Shanahan hasn't drafted any QB, has he? QB gurus make mistakes in drafting QB too, Bill Walsh didn't take Tom Brady, but he did draft two QB that year, both didn't make it.

Balls under thrown and wobbly. 49ers are going to struggle this year with their quarterback play

The media overhyped him because of the draft capital San Francisco gave up. I don’t think there’s a single 49er fan that can honestly say that they’re happy about it or comfortable with Lance at quarterback. Jimmy would win them games at least he could get the ball out quickly. Lance looks like a division 2 quarterback in all honesty

Seattle is gonna end up getting the same efficiency out of their quarterbacks, and didn't have to spend #3 overall on an incredibly raw prospect to do so!

And next year other teams will be saying that about us?

Trey looked legit scared behind that online, many fully expected to make the team.

According to PFF, Geno is having his career apex right now. His 3.5 games last season was the best in his career; this year's two preseason games, he was rated an elite-nesque 88.4 in passing, and 90.3 overall. PFF could be wrong of course, but they sure ain't bias in favor of Geno.

So far, I noticed that Geno worked hard in protecting the football, and trying really really hard to make quicker decisions. Both are subtle and do not show up on box scores, may be analysts in PFF noticed?

I am hoping that he is turning all the slights, belittles into positive energy. Once he learned to trust our OL, that will help towards his poise under pressure, which is another one of Geno's major weaknesses.

The ESPN mock draft (meaningless I know) has us selecting 9th and missing on the top 3 QBs and taking Van Dyke with the Bronco pick and an edge with the 9th pick. Sounds a little worst case-ish to me.

Looking at box scores, Lance was 7/11, 49 yards, average 4.5 yards. Meantime, Texans had 7 pass defended. Sounded like either Texans had good DBs, or 9ers' QB haven't been accurate.

Even the announcers on Prime were like “It’s crazy what Kyle is trying to force with Trey Lance especially given Jimmy G’s efficiency
