I predict, we have seen the best of Stafford, and the rest will be less consequential. It is extremely hard at his age to play without getting a serious injury. He has had a great run. Next year has two ways to go for the Rams, UP or DOWN. I predict a slippage. Seattle took all they had, and wound up celebrating.

I agree with this.

I do think Stafford takes them back to the playoffs again next season but this time around, his Rams will slip up against a team in the playoffs (that won't have a bad QB face them(Panthers/Bryce) or have a Coach not taking the points (Bears)) and be one and done.

And that's when he'll decide to retire.

And that's when the Rams fans put their Rams gear in their closet and take out their Whiners gear.

Love for him to retire. He would
never admit it but, I can’t help but think that his division rivals would factor into his decision. His whole reason for playing now isn’t $$. It’s to grab a chip.

He's going to be 38 years old in 6 days.

I think he will give it another go next season but I don't think he will have the same MVP type of year that we saw this season.

I thought the same thing about Brady when he was Stafford's age and he still had 3 SB rings to win.

Decline will come but it is difficult ot know when, Paynton Mannings decline was very rapid when he was Stafford's age.

If Stafford does have another year (or two) in him the NFCW will get even more scary, the Rams have two 1st round picks, the 49ers surely can't have such a run of injuries for the 3rd season in a run and we have a young team that should improve for next year. You can argue they were the top 3 teams in the NFL this season, next year we could be the best by a country mile. Could we are all be tied at 14-3 next season.

It's just a bad matchup for some reason. The Clams are the ONLY team to light up or defense. Then again, they lost 2 of 3 to us and are watching from Cancun.
Nothing but respect for Stafford. He is a phenomenal QB, period.
