If completely healthy he’s probably the second best WR on the team. Kupp is the better all around player but he doesn’t tip the field. Give him time.

We all saw that he was pretty effective in the half season he played before injury. We're all hoping he can get back at 100%. It's a pretty good WR room without him, even better if he could play.

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe it was multiple fractures or something. Something that might need several surgeries to get rods implanted and adjusted/removed over a long time period. Even a major weight bearing bone will heal in 6-8 weeks from a simple fracture. Curious.

Exactly!

The mystery here is somewhat frustrating as his ‘recovery’ seems to linger on.

As many have said “the best ability is availability”.

At present Horton is missing/has missed a lot of time and that missed time will slow his development.

I’m rather sure it’s hyperbole to say he’s the #2 WR on the roster and would bet the team doesn’t think so. Kupp may not be fast, but he can be depended upon when it’s important. The team is better when he’s on the field.

Also, do not underestimate how big re-signing Shaheed is.

Kupp, I assume, will be here for just this season and that will be it so having someone like Shaheed signed beyond this coming season with all the uncertainty of Horton is no small thing.

wondering if it is or was a blood flow problem, need blood to heal and create bone adhesion.

Alotta WRs this draft. I don't know about hitching our wagon to injured in college; injured in the pro types. We rolled the dice on more than few injury risks last draft and 2 were injured again right away. TE and Horton.

I’m keeping an eye on Malik Benson as a possible late rounder. Similar profile to Horton, and inch shorter, but no injury history.

Knew about Horton's injury history but not Arroyo's.

JS is indeed rolling the dice with those two.

This convinces me he will draft either another WR in the later rounds or another TE.

Horton isn’t better than Kupp at anything except for running in a straight line. Kupp is invaluable as a blocker and came up clutch against the Rams. At this stage in his career he’s probably the 3rd option after JSN and Shaheed but what he does on the field schematically and systematically can’t be measured by numbers. I wouldn’t even trade Kupp for Justin Jefferson
