We have suddenly got less healthy both with in game injuries and players not immediately able to come back off IR.
As a reminder :
- Sea have 1 more regular season IR return slot. The full list of players this is open to = Holani, Surratt, Horton
- they have 2 IR return slots for the post season, in addition to those players they could be used on = Arroyo
- in addition you know have injuries to cross (2-4 weeks), Riq (indications are not serious) and Bryant (indications are he will miss time).

Question is whether any of those injuries are serious enough for them to consider designating them as IR to free up a roster spot and bring them back in the post season. I’ll still hold out hope we can activate Horton with the remaining regular season IR slot (maybe even in the last week); and the 2 post season slots going to Arroyo + then possibly Bryant

I'd really love to know how horton is coming along in his recovery.

I mean Shaheed was huge but adding Horton to that receiving core would be a huge boost for this offense and Sam.

Mike sounded like he wasn't optimistic about Horton.

Horton is the one needed most. Maybe in the play offs depending on how far we go.

I really don't see them putting anybody on IR unless the injury is season ending. Not a time of year to have guys miss 4 weeks if they don't have to. Carry them as inactives and treat the hell out of them and hope.

On Horton - the intimation is not good but I’ll also say it’s impossible to know if they expect him back at all. I think the only interpretation is that he isn’t ready to practise yet. I think the 2 slots for post season have to be kept for Horton and Arroyo at this point if you can’t get Horton back for the end of the regular season.
Holani would be the next most useful addition.
I tend to agree about Bryant.. perhaps you just have to stomach losing a roster spot for a few weeks

Maybe because out of only 22 targets this season, he's made 13 catches and scored 5 TDs.
Sure, before Shaheed got here. There's nothing he can do Shaheed can't. Not saying he's not a great weapon, he is. just saying he's not the player we need back the most out of all the ones hurt right now. Dont really need him to come back at all. Who's he going to start over? Doubt he would bump Shaheed or Kupp. Not this year. Be nice to have him back for depth....🤷

Saw a Podcast of Dan Viens (Seahawks Forever) where he said it seems that the injury to Horton seems to be severe enough that we won't see him at all this year.

Now this just his opinion but hearing no news on him from MacDonald certainly doesn't bode well.
