I thought I would throw this out there as a distraction from all the other crap that's going on right now. My way too early pick at 18 is WR Matthew Golden from Texas. A little on the small side for a receiver, but with 4.29 speed (1.49 ten yard split) he can take the top off the defense and replace DK as the deep threat. Wouldn't surprise me if he's gone by 18 so might have to move up a bit to get him.

I like him.

#18 is so wide open. I'm actually down with a lot of options. The only one I will really question is Kenneth Grant.

Josh Simmons. I would like to see them pick him and try to move Lucas to guard which should help with his knee issue.

Egbuka is another

Weve never had OROY before, but if we draft Golden, I'll bet he ends up firmly in the conversation, especially if Jeanty either disappoints or misses time. He'd have a lot of opportunity for great stats, and it would help that there will probably only be maybe 1-2 QBs who will be relied on as starters.

I've been saying for a while though that I think this is setting up for Grey Zabel. I believe our front office will be very high on him.

I think your 100% correct. I think we are going for Zabel if he is available, if not i hope Emanuari is there for us. I am super high on both of those guys. Would be day one staters and impact players that we need.

Good call. Golden is a beast. I wouldn't be mad at Zabel either.

Golden is one that I like and makes a ton of sense. I’m really on the Kenneth Grant train though. Huge athletic NT. Will move Byron back to his normal position and open things up so he doesn’t get double teamed every play. Very good against the run and the only starting position of need on the defense.

-- Nick Emannwori. Thirded. Position of need. impact player, scheme fit.

-- Fine with Zabel. But there may have been "better" players on the LOB, but none had his overall affect on the personality of that defense.

Nick Emannwori Safety South Carolina. I think McDonald has evil intentions of how to deploy him in our Defense!
I would be fine with him. While I don't think we need a safety, Emannwori is an absolute beast.
