Is this a good decision or a bad one? The Titans have made a series of decisions that have led them to the worst record in the NFL. But is it all on Carthon?

He did draft Will Levis and let Derrick Henry go. He spent $228 on free agency last off season on players who weren't all stars. And the worst thing is that he got Mike Vrabel fired.

But he's also done some good things, like drafting JC Latham and T'Vondre Sweat this year. (T'Vondre Sweat's great rookie year worries me, that as some people on .net said before the draft, that Sweat was the real stud on that Texas line, not Murphy.)

Murphy is already a good player. Don't sweat Murray. Don't let the lack of sexy stats dissuade you otherwise. I wanted Jared Verse, even though it wasn't as big of a need. But I'm happy to admit Murphy could have more impact. Especially if this team can find an alpha nose tackle that isn't at the end of their career, and doesn't wear down in the first half. A good chunk of the time that Leonard Williams was lined up at 5 (or even more wide) someone was absorbing a double team. It was often Murray.

Don't follow the Titans at all, but something I heard on the radio might be applicable. Apparently, he failed to draft players that would help Levis improve, and went to other areas of the team. I think it was on Brock and Salk as I was driving to Seattle today.

Carthon replaced Robinson.

Robinson made the mistake of letting AJ Brown move on and that had Vrable distraught. Carthon spent so much money but he also let King Hendry walk.

In short the Titans organization is in disarray because they are letting talent walk and it cost Vrable his job.

I can guarantee 100% if Vrable takes the Pats job he will have player input because Pats owner Mr. Kraft indicates as much for a new HC will have their say in player personnel.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but taking a chance on Levis in the 2nd wasn’t a bad decision at the time. Many had him as a solid first rounder and early pick. You have to take a shot sometimes. At least they’re not out a second overall like the Jets taking Zach Wilson.
