I believe this team still needs a lot of retooling in certain spots on this team, because this was a pile of failure in my eyes... If this game was in Tampa and it ended with the same score I could swallow the lose, but this was horrible...
If this game was in Tampa, the score would've been reversed.

We can't win at home apparently.

Don’t want to see Milroe active anymore this season unless necessary
He of course has time to develop, but i was never a fan of bringing him in for gadget plays as a rookie. I think they really need to knock it off. He isn't going to develop any faster by running one or two gadget plays per game. He needs to practice and study. If they *really* want to use him a couple times a game in 2026 then get him ready for it because he's currently not there.

I don't want to see Milroe on the team anymore. The guy was over hyped all offseason. I didn't see one promising thing from him during the preseason. Just a waste of a draft pick.
JSN didn't look special in his rookie season.

The Seahawks are very thin on NFL talent. The Seahawks back-ups generally aren't as good as other teams' back-ups. The Seahawks D-Line isn't so good it can hide lesser players behind it.

So, when is this going to change? We always have crappy luck on the injury front and we just extended the guy who picks the players.

I don't have the solutions or even a broad timeline for when the Seahawks will be Super Bowl contenders. The Seahawks starters are good enough, (on any given Sunday), to compete with any opponent. I'm just posting my thoughts and observations after a close game that didn't go to plan. On the plus side the Rams and Cardinals also had games this week that didn't go to their plan. Ditto for the Eagles.

Thought #3: Several Seahawk players on offense and ST deserve kudos today, but two who impressed me most are Sam Darnold and Dareke Young. Young is a big reason our ST is the best it has been in years. (Except for the missed FG, of course, but I was referring to the kick-off and punt returns.)

Next week they're going up against another good D.

Fortunately for us, Trevor Lawrence is two levels below Baker so that game will be very winnable.

(oh and it's on the road so....double'y-winnable)

Shoot outs can be fun to watch but not when your team is the one always catching up.

At some point, the Seahawks need to blitz. Whatever their current plan is, normally it works. However when QBs know it's just pressure they are getting, they can get confident and drop almost a 400 yard game on ya.

Darnold is way better than I was hoping, he just stands and delivers under a crumbling pocket.

That was the worst DB Seahawks performance I have ever seen.

Every kicker has his last year, this is JM's

I hope so. In a game where every point matters, you can't miss chip-shot FGs, giving the other team good field position. There HAS to be some kicker coming out of college that can kick it straight through the uprights. None of this curveball shit, barely even making PATs.

I never saw a kicker that constantly kicked curveballs like this guy.

It's almost like he contracted whatever disease Jake Moody had.

He's been watching videos from when Blair Walsh was on the team.

I don't love the gadget plays with Milroe either. It would be fine if our starting QB was struggling and we were trying to spark a stalled offense. However, Darnold was lights out today; 4 TDs, 82% completion rating, 135 QB Rating, 95+ QBR. The last thing we should be doing in high leverage situations is taking the ball out of his hands.

I'm not so concerned about the points the defense gave up due to missing so many key players, other than that it sucks we lost the game. I do mind how we gave up the points, from the lack of teamwork up front, to poor individual play all over the back end, to giving up the first down to a run on the final sequence.
