First Sunday thoughts.

We're in the middle of a family crisis. My wife was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer and will need surgery. It's by no means a death sentence, but obviously a big event. I had to cancel a cruise of the Panama Canal that I had planned. My daughter and grandson came down from their home in Spokane to visit this weekend.

As a rule, I'm in a state of limbo between now and the first of April. That's when baseball season starts and we start getting irrigation water. It's too cold to do anything outside, and I've lost interest in basketball.

So sorry to hear about your wife. Praying all goes well and she has a speedy recovery.

Although the Sonics moving amounted to the final straw, the NBA started losing me several years prior to their leaving. A lot of it was a generational thing, as the way they marketed their product, with all the rap and hip-hop music every time they went to a commercial break, was a big turnoff to me. I followed CBK for a number of years, but even that has faded.

If they were to bring back the Sonics, I'd make an attempt at revitalizing my interest. But until then, screw it.

Been home sick since the parade. Worth it.

Yup, if my Superb Owl party was yesterday it would have been cancelled.
Had every symptom same as you & slept almost all day but feeling somewhat better today.

I rototilled half my garden on Saturday. Finished the second half yesterday of that garden 1 of 2. And tilled it cross to make sure the ground all good. I will probably wait for a few days and do it again as it cost me in pain. I will be ok, but painkillers are necessary. I also watched the Pebble Beach Pro-am on tv. Also watched the Olympics and a SSgt from Aviano was on doing the skeleton which is basically sledding on a track all alone face first. She got 8th place. Dangit.

Beautiful day here in the Flint Hills. I recently finished with surgery on both eyes and the results are astounding! So after the feels good post op exam I decided to take the long way home in search of Eagles. Ended up with 450 clicks to work and I'm still only part way through them.
