On the play, Shenault comes across from the right side to the left and throws a block on a safety to McIntosh's left that gets McIntosh free to show us how fast he can run dozens of yards in pads. Shenault's part in that play had a fairly high "degree of difficulty," but he executes it just beautifully. I'm getting a good deal more optimistic about Shenault than I was when the Seahawks signed him. I mean, he's still a #5 WR, but it looks like he'll do everything you could possibly ask of such a player.

What is his injury status after the game? The greatest ability is availability and Dee has been lacking. I would expect nothing to change at this point.

Eskridge is a 1 trick pony...Mike's needs more out of players and I don't think Eskridge fits the bill.

Sherrif was a late addition but in two weeks has put together a resume multitudes better than Eskridge has in three years.

"The best ability is availability" (Parcels), and Eskridge is just a finely tuned athlete that can't stay healthy, or available.

To me the "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" thinking applies to Eskridge. I'd predict notwithstanding his late display of his real athletic ability that before midseason he's likely to be missing time again with some injury, or back again on IR. There is no doubt that he could be a special and occasionally brilliantly explosive player, but to me I'd opt out b/c of his injury history and choose a player who is close athletically but more reliable.

My Pops used to say that all the time and it's a cornerstone I live by. Agree 100%. He could be a great person and working his a$$ off to get in shape...but there is too much talent in the stack for a guy who can return kicks and has >50% chance of re-injury IMO. The business of football has move on.

Since he was on his rookie deal, it almost made sense to hang on to him for 3 years. If there weren't better options I'd be OK if he stayed, but there are. Shenault looks like a keeper and Bobo should be one too. Like I said above, I think he'll be in another uniform next month.
