Look forward to facing both of them. I hope Russell goes after RS with some success. I am confident that he will. He is not a shut down corner.

He either isn't now and never was, or he's always been one.

It isn't, he was back then and totally isn't now.

Get back to me when you can.

Oh, lookie here. Whiner fan defending Sherman now that he’s on their side of the fence. Classic and so predictable.

Sherman's actually improved as a man after switching sides. He's still talking shit but he's doing it with a lot more finesse now.

I'll take it for any perceived physical decline.

PS - I embrace Sherman a lot for his hatred of Wilson...….he hates him more than most Niner fans :irishdrinkers:
I always thought Sherm personally believed Wilson received most or all of the credit for the Super Bowl win. Which is why Sherm always had it out for Wilson and resented him. But, from every non-Seahawks fan I have spoken with they’ve always gave a majority of the credit to Marshawn and the defense for winning the Super Bowl. And even the non Seattle media believes it was Marshawn and the defense. But maybe I’m wrong and Sherm despises Wilson for an entirely different reason. Which may be true as well. We’ll never know.

Sherman - SMH. I didn't really enjoy his drama while he was a Seahawk, but I dealt with it and possibly even defended it because of his production for the Hawks. Now that he's on the Niners out of "Spite", well this current Sherman I will just change the channel when he speaks because nothing he will say will make me like him at this time.

I think "Spite" was maybe about 4th or 5th on Sherman's list for going to the 49ers.
* 49ers defensive scheme is a good fit for Sherman's skill set.
* 49ers wanted Sherman, and made him the best overall offer.
* Sherman is a Stanford guy, Bay area connections there. Also Sherman is a Compton product. Back to CA and closer to "home".
* Sherman gets to play against the Seahawks twice a year.

Now, IMO, Sherman checks tons of boxes for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. (NPD) He is also a *very smart* guy overall. He had a uncanny knack for pushing things to the edge and getting away with it, thriving on the attention, even if negative, rather than being distracted by it. Sherman also has a side where he sincerely tries to help others, and he also has always been a very hard worker, putting in the study and reps and work to become excellent at his craft.

Now, one thing about NPDs. They love, love, love, not just being able to kill TWO birds with one stone, but kill NINETEEN birds with one stone. (with apologies to Audobon members) Then, they congratulate themselves on their brilliance and uniqueness, especially compared to all the mere mortals who will never reach their level of cleverness.

Sherman overall? For me, love/hate relationship, but definitely *respect*, and I wish him well, just not against us.
Remember him mouthing off to Skip Bayless? "I'm better at LIFE than you!" Classic Sherman.

Earl? He can flip himself off and then follow through on it, for all I care. Great player, but became butthurt and toxic after not getting what HE wanted. Also, as I understand it, he chose to bypass a stronger surgical repair with his first leg break, against the wishes of Seahawks doctors, leading to his second leg break. So instead of Earl accepting responsibility for the natural consequences of HIS OWN choices, he flips off the team, the fans, the organization. Sure, he SAYS it's just Pete, but if so, then flippin do that privately. I just hope, for his sake, that he hasn't spent all $78M or so career earnings so far, $100M+ if he finishes out his contract, and that he'll be able to feed his family and put gas in the Rolls on such chicken scratch earnings. An emotionally healthy person would at least feel and express some actual *gratitude* over their great fortune in life, and the organization and people that made it possible for him.

I think you hated him then and like him now for whom Jersey he was/is wearing at a specific time.
Same problem some of my fellow hawks fans have.

I did, and honestly I was resisting the 49ers signing him when it was merely an idea on the forum all the way up to it actually happening.

But the reality about division swaps is that they'll almost never happen when the player is having a tremendous season in his former team. No way Sherman is a Niner in 2015 or whatever, if that was possible to begin with FA wise. So the way I understand it, Sherman's personality plus the huge injury is what caused him not to be re-signed -- maybe if only one of those was the issue he'd still be a Hawk.

So it's almost as if he's a new player entirely. You guys had him from the beginning and I guess you can see the true Sherman better than we can, I won't debate that.

From our perspective he's ok, for now. Very helpful to our DBs and younger players, doesn't hate Kyle or Jimmy yet......so far so good

Sherman will for sure continue to be a model citizen for the Niners. Partly to show that the problem in Seattle was everyone but him. It's an NPD thing. If he were to create a drama shitstorm in SF, calling out coaches, the offense, etc. then it would be patently obvious HE was the problem in Seattle, and the rep will be that trouble follows him wherever he goes. No way Sherman wants that, and whatever else he is, Sherman is very smart.
