I just saw Olu lost his backup center job to Sundell. Doesn't bode well for him but i'm glad there's competition there behind the scenes

It might be more complicated. Sundell may have dressed because he was a college tackle, meaning he provides depth at both tackle and center whereas Olu has only ever played center.

Either way... not good for Olu, who appears to not be making the leap.

I thought he would be serviceable but if we can trade for prospect why not?

Was listening to the cigar thoughts podcast that had Mitch Levy on. Thought it interesting that they think Bradford/Haynes might be fine eventually and if they clean up the penalties but they think Tomlinson is absolutely cooked. Even speculating Bradford moves to left guard and Tomlinson cut. Is there any left guards likely to be available for trade/we can pick up off the street?

They think you need 3 good pieces in an offensive line to be at least competent- Cross and potentially Williams and Lucas if they can put their injury stuff behind them.

Speaking of Lucas, I saw a video of him yesterday moving laterally and sprinting. Can't remember if was on X or FB but he looked good. Wonder how close he is to being back.

Well, it can't be for another couple of weeks IIRC. Hoping it is soon and he comes back at full strength. He was damn good before the injury.

Yeah that is the first step, he has to gain flexibility and strength back, no contact movement versus 600 plus pounds of guys on you and pushing close to a 1000 in blocking, not to mention guys getting tangled up in your legs and being tripped and pushed sideways and backwards at the same time.
