This game doesn't tell us if we're Super Bowl contenders.

It tells us if we're 19-0 contenders.

If we win @ Indy, the 1972 Dolphins better start keeping an eye on us. Our schedule is easier for the rest of the year, basically. Saints could be a problem, but we play them at our house.

I am fantasizing about TWO undefeated teams meeting in NYC for the SuperBowl.

The best offense in history vs the best defense in history=the greatest sporting event in history.

I don't see what you see calling out D "the best in history". Hell I don't even think this is the best D in Seahawks history. I watched all of the 1992 teams games and that D was incredible especially with what is considered the worst offense in the history of the NFL. Don't get me wrong our D now is very good but I wouldn't mention it in the same breath as best D's ever.

NOT a finished product. Although I don't disagree with you, this D has a bunch of new parts-it's still coming together. I also think we Seahawks fans may not yet realize how truly good this defense is/or is about to be.

Poorly thrown balls and missed blocks are the main problem. Sure you can say it's bad play calling but the first quater by and large is a feeling out process. You may prepare for certain looks all week only to have the defense show something completely different and have to adjust on the fly. I don't think it's so easy to blame the OC. Everything I hear form RW, PC,ect is "we need to execute better."

Agreed with most of this but you have to throw the receiving corps into the conversation for it to really have any teeth. Wilson while not perfect, is throwing balls to guys early that they by god better start catching a few more of. Blame it on Wilson, Bevell, early starts, weather, sun signs whatever you like but the whole thing is subject to immediate revision and improvement. This is to say nothing of letting our Linebacking group off easy for that schoolyard bullying they took the first half. Just a lot to fix!

That we are still winning while turning in the worst teamwide performance since Arizona last September is testament to the depth and grit this team possesses. If our team had shown up at all in the first half of that game Sunday it surely would have been a slaughter! Now to figure how to do just that...to everyone!
