This 5 seed scenario isn’t too shabby either.

No team will be easy. Just because someone plays at Carolina or TB, it's not some automatic win. Better draw? Sure. Guaranteed win? Nope.
Oh no question.

I'm in no way thinking it's an auto-win.

I mean despite our defense spanking Bryce Young and the kittens, their defense did a number on Darnold and our offense for a bit before it righted itself enough to get it done.

It won't be any less tougher since it will be at their stadium.

And if it's the Bucs (and not the Kitties), I think that team is overrated as hell. Baker MID-field (as I call him now) hasn't been himself for weeks for whatever reason so I think we beat him and the Buckaroos down as well.

Basically what I'm saying is that our chances are far better against them than against the Eagles (for example) even though I think our Defense can hang with the SB champs.

Side note, I tried every possible scenario. GB is locked into the 7 no matter what. That's a pretty damn good 7 seed, imo.

Like that year the mighty Saints thought they had an easy WC road
and then Beastquake happened.
Screw the easy matchup, I mean it looks like some want the 5th seed
not clearly thinking that you need four wins vs 3 with the one seed to
take the SB.

Crazy, this is the last time the Hawks lost to Philly.

Man...I just want us to take care of business this Saturday and get the 1 seed and then sit back and relax for the next week watching these wildcard teams beat each other's brains in.
I hear you. I just tend to look at worst case scenario. If we beat SF I will be stoked and probably on webzone afterwards. However, if we lose, most likely we will get them again in 2 weeks and it is tough beating a team twice in 2 weeks if they are 13-3.

We could equally beat Carolina and the rams and packers win and then we host the Rams at home.

Lets see how it plays out but man beating SF would be euphoric.

They don't seem to match up well against Philly. But remember, if when we beat the Niners, it will be the Niners traveling to Philly (or Chicago), while the Rams go to Car or TB. The Rams and their fans will be pulling for the Hawks on Saturday night.

It’s interesting though. I actually watched the Rams/Eagles game in Philly this year (on tv I mean). The Rams were up 26-7 in the third and I thought they were clearly the better team. Rams had a 44 yard FG attempt to end the game that was blocked.

Rams would go in feeling confident I think, but as Rudy T said, “Never underestimate the heart of a champion”.
