I know the season is not over and it's a long way until next year's draft but, I love the process. Here are some dudes that I really enjoy watching and are worth some discussions. I haven't looked at every position but I started with WRs, TEs, and DBs.

WRs: I think the end to Tyler's legendary career as a Seahawk is coming to an end. Lockett is still an effective WR but he sort of limits himself nowadays. He doesn't go deep for shots as much. He can't really run sweeps or screens. I think the team should look for his replacement. D.K is already your X-receiver. JSN is already your slot. I think we should target someone that is capable of playing an X but their home is at Y-receiver. Someone with legit speed and can blow the top off a cover. Someone that can move around with flexibility. It helps if they can contribute on special teams as a return guy.
  • Luther Burden: 5'11. 208 lbs. Monster. X,Y,Slot. He can do it all. He's not really a high-pointer but he is probably one of the best deep ball trackers in this draft class. Thick lower body and with good hands. If he's there in the late first round, he's a no-brainer. I think he rises way too high for the Hawks.
  • Isaiah Bond: 5'11. 180 lbs. He is listed at 180 but he's built much thicker. He isn't Xavier Worthy skinny. He packs some muscle. Unlike Worthy, Bond is more physical and runs through arm tackles. He is pretty savvy as a route runner. Smooth in and out of breaks. He is going to be compared to Worthy a lot because they are both Texas guys and they might have similar speed. I think Bond is the better football player. Again, probably is going to rise but I hope he sticks around the 2nd round.
  • Jalen Royals: 6'0. 205 lbs. Late bloomer and had a great season. He is most likely going to turn some heads throughout the draft process. Speed to burn. Explosive WR and can turn little gains into huge gains in a hurry. He isn't as fast as Burden and Bond but dude is most likely going to run in the low 4.4s or high 4.3s.

TEs: I know Fant has a role as the move TE. I actually think he's a fine TE and is capable of some big games. I just don't want to pay him because we don't always utilize our TEs to their maximum capacity. I don't know why a TE needs to be paid $8-10 mill to be targeted a few times a game. I wish Fant the best but I'd rather use his cap for something else. Barner plus another solid rookie TE can be pretty productive and be cost-effective. I don't think we should target a TE early. I think the 4th round is and has been the golden round for TEs for the Seahawks.
  • Jake Briningstool. 6'6. 240 lbs. He isn't Barner. He is supposed to compliment Barner. Briningstool is a move-TE that should be used as a big slot. Sort of like what Fant is doing now. The Hawks aren't asking Fant to put his hands in the ground all of the time. They ask him to run routes. Bingingstool isn't a burner but a smooth runner. He isn't overly physical but he is going to run over CBs and some safeties. He can play a specific role in Grubb's offense. He is someone that can threaten the seams or flats.
  • Oscar Delp. 6'5. 245 lbs. He's a freak of nature with a blue collar attitude. Does all of the dirty work. He is more of a swish army knife. He can do a little bit of everything and isn't great at anything yet. Massive upside because of the athleticism and attitude. The way he runs and moves reminds of Cooper Kupp. He might go under the radar because he has been underutilized at Georgia. He has the chance to really be one of the steals of the whole draft if he goes in the middle rounds. He is my overall my dude on offense.

DBs: Hear me out. Witherspoon is great. Woolen is great. Coby Bryant is emerging. Julian Love is locked up for a couple of years. I don't care. I want to get greedy at DB. Josh Jobe has been a revelation. Get greedy. Rayshawn Jenkins has been used as a 3rd safety but I think he's limited in upside and in coverage. You can always upgrade there. If it's the first round then oh well. I'm into getting more talent period.
  • Jahdae Barron. 5'11. 200 lbs. If you love Witherspoon's attitude and tenacity then you'll also love Barron. Love this kid. He reminds me a lot of Spoon's willingness to throw his body around and tackle. He doesn't have Spoon's anticipation but the kid is plenty good. He is sort of a tweener. He can play all around but I do think his best home would be at safety. I think his biggest strength is seeing things in front of him and hitting. I watch him and I see a bigger version of Devon Witherspoon. He is my overall my dude on defense. He is my ideal pick early either late 1st or even 2nd if he sticks around. He can play CB/Nickle/Safety. Mac is going to love this kid. He shows complete effort in defeating a block and finishing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLdP0G20n_c
  • Mansoor Delane: 6'1. 187 lbs. I just like my CBs like I like my Tasmanian Devils. Mean, nasty, and forgetful. Dude is going to bring it every play. Delane is very much in the elk of Barron and Witherspoon. He does need to refine his game in coverage but he excels in zone coverage better than man. He is just going to hit you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddaGtSL8q_Y
  • Cobee Bryant: 6'0. 170 lbs. Not kidding. There is another DB named Cobee Bryant. Thankfully it's with an extra "e." I have a type at CB. He isn't the fastest. He isn't the biggest. He is sort of razor thin. Dude hits a ton. He's pretty sticky in coverage. He screams MacDonald. Tough. Smart. Intense. Pretty good prospect with a mean streak in the middle rounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxMawHUEiuY

From 33rd team's latest mock:

17. Seattle Seahawks Seahawks e1676940861516

Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

Jalon Walker 1024x683Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Jalon Walker (11) tackles Mississippi Rebels running back Ulysses Bentley IV (24) during the first half at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Petre Thomas-Imagn Images.

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 245 lbs.

Class: Junior

Fit: One of the major truths in life at the NFL level is you can never have enough pass rushers. And for Mike MacDonald, Georgia LB Jalon Walker is a tailor-made fit for the scheme. Walker has the ability to play on the line of scrimmage as a SAM backer and rush the passer or, alternatively, drop out and take shallow zones and occupy throwing windows underneath.

For a simulated pressure defense that tries to change the picture of quarterbacks post-snap, that versatility is invaluable. There's not another coach in the league who could get more out of Walker than MacDonald, the master of the league's hottest scheme.
