Matthew Golden if going offense first.

Jahdae Barron if going defense first.

Both UT players.

Armand Membou. Probably have to move up a little to get him, but in the realm of possible when considering the amount of picks we have now.

And in the 2nd, I'd like to see Higgins

Nick Emannwori Safety South Carolina. I think McDonald has evil intentions of how to deploy him in our Defense!
I second this post. Actually, I wanted the Seahawks to draft Kyle Hamilton but there was a need for LT and they grabbed Charles Cross instead. Nick E is very much like Hamilton. Actually, I've seen him being compared to Kam Chancellor.

Golden is one that I like and makes a ton of sense. I’m really on the Kenneth Grant train though. Huge athletic NT. Will move Byron back to his normal position and open things up so he doesn’t get double teamed every play. Very good against the run and the only starting position of need on the defense.
I honestly would be pretty upset if they used a 1st rounder on a NT that can't really pass rush. You already have a pretty good NT in Murphy that can rush.

Pick a much more impactful position and player in my opinion.

I like Burden or Ebuka there. Like em both more than Golden and McMillan actually.

I think the gulf between the WRs available there and 50/52 is larger than the gulf in interior oline (unless someone like Banks, Campbell or Membou falls to you at 18). A guy like James Pearce lasting to 18 would have me thinking about that too. Jihaad and Jalon Walker - I like em, but not sure of the fit. Barron I like, but perhaps too much overlap with what Witherspoon excels at. The safety is super athletic, but I'm happy with Love and Bryant.

I like him because he has all the tools to develop those. He's a freak, he just needs to put it all together. Murphy should be being used at NT, that's not where he is best. He's being underutilized playing there majority of his snaps. There are other big NT's in this draft so Grant is not a MUST have but he has the much higher ceiling than anyone else.

I'm going to disagree. I do understand why people want to continue to clamor for Murphy to play elsewhere but he made a huge impact in the running game as a NT.

In the turn around of the defense last season, people forget Murphy took over the NT position and made it his own. Hankins lost his snaps and Murphy was the more effective NT.

I still see no problems with Murphy being a NT. How is it different with Witherspoon being on the outside on early downs and a nickle on passing downs?

Just my opinion though.

Do you think he'll still be on the board at 18? I'm expecting him to go somewhere in the top 10.
The prevailing thought is that he is in freefall after some disastrous interviews at the combine. Like late first early 2nd.

I thought I would throw this out there as a distraction from all the other crap that's going on right now. My way too early pick at 18 is WR Matthew Golden from Texas. A little on the small side for a receiver, but with 4.29 speed (1.49 ten yard split) he can take the top off the defense and replace DK as the deep threat. Wouldn't surprise me if he's gone by 18 so might have to move up a bit to get him.
No effen way do I want to see this team spend a first round pick on another WR.

Which is weird because it was never a secret that he is an ego maniac head case

Why execs are pretending to just now discover this is beyond me

I honestly have no frickin idea on who they should take or even what position. I really wanted Murphy last year but didn't think there was any way he would drop to us until the insane run of offensive players and his fall to us. The mocks I am seeing are all over the board as well. You see a mock with a guy going top 7 and then the very next mock has that guy in the 20's. I've seen Shadeur anywhere from 2-mid 20's. This year seems more like a year of lots of good players but maybe not those superstar types. It's going to be an exciting draft.

He's not a head case. People need to get better at separating players from who they're related to. Different sport, but Lonzo Ball should have been a good lesson for everyone.
