I'm not a fan. Doesn't resemble a football play in my opinion. I look forward to the day that it gets banned. Hopefully this will be the last year of it.

As has been pointed out, it's rather unfair right now, since defenders can't push their own guys toward the line. Allow defenders to do this too on tush push plays, and I'll support it. Otherwise, you can just line up half a dozen Fat Bastards (character from Austin Powers, I'm not swearing! ;)) on the offensive side and tush push your way down the field all game. This seems like a pretty simple thing to understand, IMO.
Nah it’s only good for a yard or two, you still gotta get to 4th n 1

For the "why ban a play just because someone does it well" crowd, I point you to Kam jumping over the line on field goal attempts, without touching any of the offensive players. The NFL put a stop to that REAL quick.
You can still jump over, Wags has done this a couple times since
leaving Seattle, you just cannot make any contact in doing it.

Looks like there are about 180 4th & 1 plays in the NFL every year. Not exactly a tiny number. Not to mention, it's perfectly viable at 3rd & 1 as well, though the first page of Google results didn't give me an easy answer, though asking Gemini AI it says there were about 1,200 plays in the 2023 NFL season combined for 3rd & 1 and 4th & 1. I'd say your point is not very relevant.

Wow dude you are weird. My point is that you said you could march down the field using the tush push. Obviously you can use it on third down. The friggin point genius is that you can’t expect to gain more than a yard or two on the tush push and basic math says you could get 8 yards with a tush push before you have to hand the ball over…. Nevermind you aren’t relevant…. Wow where’s @Rat

Don't be salty just because I said your point wasn't super relevant. Also, I could have clarified my statement a little better, I didn't mean tush push every play, I meant using it in every short-yardage situation while driving down the field. I don't think anyone wants to see it possibly become the "staple" play for 1-2 yard scenarios.

I agree with the point made that a few (QB) injuries will end the tush push. A guy like Ouzts could probably do it with no help from behind! I also agree it isn't not a fair deal to allow offense to push their own guys forward when the defense would be penalized for doing the same thing. Fair is fair. Unfair advantage should be penalized. But I still think when Hurts gets hurt that will end it. The size of guaranteed QB contracts will not tolerate having that contract on IR.

The way you responded to me was condescending plus you were wrong. Don’t whine when I call you out if you’re gonna be the hall monitor or talk down to me especially when the point escaped you
