I'm not a fan. Doesn't resemble a football play in my opinion. I look forward to the day that it gets banned. Hopefully this will be the last year of it.
Nah it’s only good for a yard or two, you still gotta get to 4th n 1As has been pointed out, it's rather unfair right now, since defenders can't push their own guys toward the line. Allow defenders to do this too on tush push plays, and I'll support it. Otherwise, you can just line up half a dozen Fat Bastards (character from Austin Powers, I'm not swearing!) on the offensive side and tush push your way down the field all game. This seems like a pretty simple thing to understand, IMO.
You can still jump over, Wags has done this a couple times sinceFor the "why ban a play just because someone does it well" crowd, I point you to Kam jumping over the line on field goal attempts, without touching any of the offensive players. The NFL put a stop to that REAL quick.
Looks like there are about 180 4th & 1 plays in the NFL every year. Not exactly a tiny number. Not to mention, it's perfectly viable at 3rd & 1 as well, though the first page of Google results didn't give me an easy answer, though asking Gemini AI it says there were about 1,200 plays in the 2023 NFL season combined for 3rd & 1 and 4th & 1. I'd say your point is not very relevant.Nah it’s only good for a yard or two, you still gotta get to 4th n 1
Wow dude you are weird. My point is that you said you could march down the field using the tush push. Obviously you can use it on third down. The friggin point genius is that you can’t expect to gain more than a yard or two on the tush push and basic math says you could get 8 yards with a tush push before you have to hand the ball over…. Nevermind you aren’t relevant…. Wow where’s @RatLooks like there are about 180 4th & 1 plays in the NFL every year. Not exactly a tiny number.
