I'm going to keep this thread up as a testament to how awful the AFC truly is over the last six weeks of the season.

One might think that the Steelers are the sixth-seed after their win over Cleveland. Not so! The Tennessee Titans are the new sixth-seed by virtue of a terrible-looking win over the equally-awful Raiders.

Right now, the fifth- and sixth-wild card spots in the AFC look like so:

5th: Kansas City Chiefs (9-2)
6th: Tennessee Titans (5-6)

Outside looking in (in order of tiebreak for teams with like records):

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-6)
Baltimore Ravens (5-6)
San Diego Chargers (5-6)
New York Jets (5-6)
Oakland Raiders (4-7)
Buffalo Bills (4-7)
Cleveland Browns (4-7)

I don't ever want to hear moaning and whining about the 2010 NFC West again because between the NFC East and the AFC's wild card contenders outside of KC, there has never been worse football being played in so many cities at the same time.

If they do that, our 7-9 record record might not stand for too much longer.

I hope this year puts that to bed. Could you imagine 3 of those teams in the playoffs?

Great thread idea.

I think the Bolts will nab that elusive final AFC WC seed.

1.) They are much better than their record shows.

2.) They are playing some very competitive ball every week.

3.) With their final three games being at Denver, at home against Oakland and at home against KC, they seem to have the purest path of being able to determine their own destiny.

Don't know why you wrote that because in 2010, we were playing for 7-9 due to the fact that we get the 4th seed and not a wildcard spot #5/#6. Some people were saying we shouldn't be in the playoffs because of a losing record, also people were saying we shouldn't have a home field advantage due to a losing record too.

Your topic of wildcard with a bad record and a terrible team is not equivalent to a losing team with a #4 seed.

Btw why did you forgot to put the Dolphins? The Dolphins are a good team, but due to the issue with OL, yeah team chemistry is disappearing.
