Quite a leap.Jville":183wd15f said:dutchcoug":183wd15f said:Michael Lombardi is saying on twitter that trade winds are blowing hard, stay tuned. People are saying it involves a WR. More specifically, maybe Alshon to Seattle. Still not sure how I would feel about this. Depends on the price, no higher than a 4th rounder.
Thanks for posting. Links are always welcomed as a manner of courtesy. The only link I see is ..................... [tweet]https://twitter.com/mlombardiNFL/status/1165029318533234693[/tweet]
........................... without links to specific team or player, the audience would include all 32 NFL teams and players and fans. Given that audience, this thread fits better into the "NFL NATION" forum.
EDIT: The above tweet appears to be a teaser / promotion to listen in on a podcast.
Sorry for hurting your feeling for interpreting a tweet and the hear say within the comments. If you don't know what rumor means, I can't help you. I see way more vague rumors on this board that doesn't get you gals riled up. Relax kids.

If it's cheap, cool. But Percy, Jimmy and Sheldon should be lesson enough on the pitfalls of giving up anything of significance for another team's star. Though I suppose the success of the Duane Brown trade is a strong counter to that.

 Harvin played in what, 3 games that season? His contribution to the SB win was more fluff than substance. Take out his KOR TD and we still won by more than 4 TDs.CPHawk":3c4ag3z5 said:kobebryant":3c4ag3z5 said:I'm just not sure that the 2019 Seahawks should be giving up assets for what could be a one year rental.

What's the lesson? Harvin was a key to us winning a super bowl, Jimmy for all the criticism was still a pro bowl TE. Sheldon is the only one that was a bust really.

What are you willing to give up for a one year rental player?
We're all in the majority of wanting Clowney here, obviously he's a top tier DE, and we could use one of those. But the rumors are Houston's looking for not only draft pick(s), but a WR.
So IMO as much as we'd love to have Clowney, he's not worth a high pick AND a WR, of which we don't have enough quality yet in that corp either.

Jazz Ferguson + Gary Jennings + oh, I dunno, let's be generous, a 6th ought to do it. Or make that a 7th and swap out David Moore for Gary Jennings.
