Cruz has really hit a wall the last few weeks. Cano has cooled off quite a bit also. Not sure what it is, but something weird is going on with the team.

Their body language looks like a team who is 15+ games back in late August, not 9 back in early June.

I'm pretty sure most of us on here could play pretty close to the level Aoki does in the field. The guy takes HORRIBLE routes on fly balls that are hit anywhere but directly at him.

36-36 after a hot start with a high water mark of 10 games over .500. I'm not one to panic early in any given sports season, but the way Texas and Houston are playing, the time is now to turn it around.

Whats even worse is we have a kid making his 2nd career start tomorrow, and a 33 year old AAA guy making the start on Friday for the home opener against a Cardinals team that just swept the Cubs.

As the real Lebowski once said "THE PLANE HAS CRASHED INTO THE MOUNTAIN!"
I was very optimistic... As well as a lot of callers I herd on 710. But after years of let downs, my heart said wait til the all star break. I've watched every game this year, and if I'm working I have it on the radio. Today I got home and turned it on in the 5th and said its over. Changed the channel for the first time. Even when they were down 12-2 or whatever it was against SD I still stuck out that whole game. But this is a different team. No late hits, no fire, swinging at bad pitches, tons of errors, and starting pitchers that are FREQUENTLY at 90+ pitches in the 4th/5th innings. Cano carried this team for the first month and a half. Then when he cooled off others picked him up. Now the whole team, the whole freaking team is ice cold. The turn of the tide was stupid Cishak's 3-2 pitch to fielder. It's like everyone gave up after that.

That didn't help but up to that point they hadn't been playing well at home. So then we were one strike away from a series win against a first place team. Then poof and crash and burn. Not sure if they win that series it turns this road trip around. But something changed with these guys.

I called that wild pitch from Chisek. Wow. Just wow. I'm going to stop watching until over .500 again.

It's not just that they are losing, it's the way they are losing. Just demoralizing, heartbreaking losses. One after another. It's hard to watch.

This team really needs a spark right now. Something, anything, to feel positive about, to feel excited about.

Our bullpen really needs a break too. The entire bullpen is completely gassed and is being waaay overused, unfortunately by necessity.

Things just keep getting worse with the starting rotation, these guys are dropping like flies. Not sure I've ever seen it this bad before.

Yep. Like someone else said, art that point they weren't playing well at home anyway, so dropping one against the Twins would've been acceptable. But to get swept by literally the worst team in baseball, by a large margin was completely demoralizing. And I pin that whole series on Felix. He just got completely blown up in that first game. The team never recovered. And when Fielder hit that heartbreaking home run in the bottom of the 9th, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. And just like the Minnesota series, I personally feel like they won't recover from this. Yes, I'm calling it. Can't believe I'm going to tomorrow's game. I've been to a handful of games over the years, and I'm being completely honest when I say that I've never seen them win in person. Not once. Why would that change tomorrow.

The Mariners still have a better run differential than Texas even all that has happened.

Winning close games is important, but the differential between Seattle and Texas in this regard has been unreal.

Even though Texas is running away with this division, they have some serious pitching injuries as of late just like us. The main difference is their farm system is STACKED, while ours is like the markdown aisle at Walmart.

They have the ability to make trades for proven players, sad times.

To top off a lovely Thursday afternoon for the Mariners, minor league prospect and Tacoma Rainier starting center fielder Boog Powell has been suspended 80 games for PEDs.

Way to go Boog.

When it rains it pours. Can't catch any breaks. If the Nats make the WS, which they may any year now... The M's will be the only team in all of baseball to have never made a WS appearance. I think we are cursed.

Haha!!! Zing! Cishek is a train wreck. He stinks and has no business being in the bigs. Collage is where his career should have ended. This clown couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat
