I mean when we got Kubiak it was a mixed reaction. Now he’s a can’t lose? He left like geno. Except he’s got a chance… I am excited about the unknown cause I trust the constants in Seattle JS, MM

Yea, let’s see how well this ages.

Just curious, who do you like to replace him?

Sam will be our QB, are you excited about the thought of him learning a new offense?
Are you concerned about the chemistry Sam and the new guy will have?

I see way more downside to losing Kubiak than I see upside bringing in a new guy.

Our system wasn’t broken, and IMO you don’t try fixing something that isn’t.
Not only wasn’t it broken, it was working pretty darn well.

Guess I’m suggesting “be careful what you wish for “.
Sure it’s not like we have a choice, but considering we were a top 10 offense that’s not too shabby, and it might be tougher to repeat than you think.
I hope so too, but we didn’t do this to ourselves. The only thing we coulda done was lose. So we’re gonna have to get good at this. Or we will be no different than Detroit or Minnesota

Meh he got pressured all game long. He had a couple I bet he would love to have back but you can say that about every QB in almost every game. Overall he played pretty well and when we couldn't run in the second half he was much better. I think he was 11-14 in the second half?
I think he played great. Like a seasoned captain steering the ship through gale force winds

You don’t think Mike knows what he wants his offense to be? Maybe kubiak was responsible for the nuances, but I still believe the offense is mikes. It was mikes last year and grubb didn’t do it right. It was mikes this year and Kubiak conformed to the vision. Kubiak is fine. But I’m not so worried that he is irreplaceable. I believe we will be even more dynamic next year under a new OC
I think Sperry is spot on.

I’m not knocking Kubiak…happy for him. But, I remember certain games where we were all like ‘wtf?’. I know who got things going in the right direction. MM.

We just won a dang Super Bowl…no complaints whatsoever.

But, I also don’t think we’re going to be taking a step back on O due to Kubiak’s departure.

I hear you dawg!!

You do know all of the best OCs are already taken.. right? We are in for a year of regression guys lol. And we all know Sam Darnold isn't perfect.

This to a T.... and we're all even more in trouble if he takes our QB coach/oline coach and other coaches with him.

We should not be surprised AT ALL, if this is a year of regression. The top coaches available have already been signed onto the 9/10 other teams (not including the raiders), due to us and the Raiders having to wait until after a superbowl.

We will most likely have a year like the Eagles, or something a bit worse, like the Lions. Which, who cares? Lol, we just won a superbowl, we should BE GREATFUL.

And we all know Sam Darnold isn't Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, or a Patrick Mahomes who can command the offense himself.

He needs the right coaching and players around him to be successful.

New here huh, hmmm well we have on staff candidates that can fill the bill, and not change the offense scheme, the question is how well they feel the game and make adjustments. Some guys have that knack and others don't. Grubb was a good offensive mind, but didn't sync up with what Mike wanted. The guys on staff already know what he wants and it will not be a power and control issue.

I trust they have a plan, what they have done so far has been amazing, I think they have earned our trust.

Just a tidbit.

There are 32 teams and I’ve been to most of their forums and message boards throughout the year.

Every single one you can find multiple threads and posts on how bad their head coach and coordinators suck and should be fired. After the Rams playoff win, I went on their game thread for enjoyment. I can’t tell you the amount of ‘McVay is trash” posts there were.

No coach is perfect. Kubiak won a Super Bowl calling plays for us and lost three games all year. Were there frustrating moments? Hell yes. Indy game comes to mind. Passing from the one on the first drive in SF was another.

But there were brilliant moments as well. The aggressiveness on the final drive against the Rams in the NFCCG was spectacular. The flexibility to transform from a pass team to a run team as the season progressed was done superbly.

I wish Kubiak the best in LV and hope our new OC continues to build on what Kubiak started.

In my opinion...I'm more worried about some of the players we may, lose than losing Kubiak.
Large cap space. I think we’re actually going to improve…bold statement considering we just kicked butt.

It’s happening though…
