Ed Reed is sure to make an impact this year, for the Texans. Either by making plays or just by lending his experience. IMHO the Texans will test ALL of their opponents this year. What are your thoughts.

I love Ed Reed, but something tells me this is a paycheck for him. I just don't think he'll make a real impact. I cant see him taking things as serious there.

Hope I'm wrong.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Ravens performed addition by subtraction by getting rid of him. He will not help the Texans defense. He's just getting by on his reputation and past performance last year and this year.

Well, I wouldn't quite go that far. Ed Reed still has that "it" stat guys will never be able to quantify. I just don't see "it" traveling outside of Baltimore.

That team had some very special qualities to it, from a personality/character perspective.

What you just said is half of the reason I believe what I believe about him. No Ray Lewis teammate mojo? Stick a fork in him. I bet he grades negatively in 75% or more of his games this year.

I agree with what has been said up to this point, and that's why I added the part about his experience. Texans have a young backfield and I see him almost being, or kinda like being a coach. If nothing else I see him making an impact in that role.

Baltimore moved on for a reason.
Flacco wanted a zillion dollars?

Reed had some pretty good plays in the Bowl. I bet he still has some highlights left. And that Texans D-line will make some easy scraps fpr him to pick up.
