This is a good football team with a lot of potential to be damn good.

The 3rd and 9 spin move play was THE play of the game, imo. If they have to punt there, big momentum shift.
That being said, the score shows how that game played out. We outplayed them, and it felt like a 2 TD win.

You're kidding, right? 🤔

Yeah K9 played well this game but let's not act like Darnold didn't have some big plays in the 2nd half either.

Remember that despite the "excellent ST" (which really was a lucky-as-f*ck TD due to a rookie mistake by the Steelers player), the Hawks still gave up a FG to be only up by a TD late.

So....guess what?

If Darnold doesn't make that CLUTCH key 3rd and 9 escape (from a sack) and convert it to a 1st down to Barner....

....and if Darnold then doesn't throw that CLUTCH big-time 43-yard BOMB to JSN...

...then K9 would not even have been in the same ZIPCODE to be able to "won us this one".

Come on man.....

Nope not kidding. I'd even rank Kupp ahead of Darnold yesterday. He didn't show me enough to feel like he's clutch yet. Just an all around decent second half by everyone against a depleted Pittsburgh defense.

I’m not sure how far back that goes but anything prior to 2020 is hardly accurate since there were less playoff teams. It became even easier to make up for a slow start the following year when the season expanded to 17 games.

Last year the Ravens, Rams and Broncos all made the playoffs last season after losing their first two games. Baltimore and L.A. even hosted wild-card round games and advanced to the divisional round.

Of course, none of that matters now that we exposed Erin and DK for what they are.
I’m pretty sure it includes everything up to current.

If you exclude everything except the last few years, I’d expect the percentage to be higher (for the reasons you mentioned).

Thankfully we’re 1-1 and the worry based on being 0-2 no longer exists.

Now we can move on to other worries.

So Cooper Kupp threw the ball to himself then?

JSN threw the ball to himself then?

Are you telling me that even with ACTUAL EVIDENCE being shoved in your face, you're still going to double-down?

I just can't with you, man.

Darnold can get better, and I suspect he will. Then again, I saw a guy who learned from his mistakes and helped lead the team in the 2nd half.

I guess every QB in the NFL is clutch then... if we wanna cherry pick lol. Rodgers made some clutch plays too.

What exactly are we cherry picking here?

We saw Darnold make huge plays in the 2nd half after a mixed-bag in the first.

And those huge plays were the difference between winning or losing this game. (ie he was CLUTCH)

Rodgers had a few plays here and there but they weren't clutch plays.

Clutch plays are plays that ultimately lead to your team WINNING.

Did Rodgers team win? 200

Darnold was clutch, period. Rough first half for the most part, but overall, a solid game. And a very good bounce back in the 2nd half.

Okay Charlie Sheen lol. You are free to choose who is clutch then. I'd say Sam made 2 clutch plays in the 2nd half and if he can play like that when Uncle Mo isn't on our side, I'll be very happy with him.

I don't get the joke.

but you know what IS a joke?

This entire conversation with you.

If you want to stick your head in the sand regarding this, that's your perogative.

Every other Hawks fan that have FREAKING EYES saw that Darnold was clutch.

Have a good one.
