At what point does everyone agree that this is Russell Wilson's team and no longer Marshawn Lynch? Even up until the last game, I was still hearing statements that this is Lynch's team because he makes the offense go. In my mind, this became Wilson's team shortly after the NE win. Sure, Lynch is the pound it out keep the clock moving force that drives the offense. But from a pure leadership, take the team on your shoulders and will them to victory standpoint, Russell is undoubtedly the guy!

Lynch wants to lead by example on the field while verbally keeping quiet for the most part.

Russell wants to lead by example AND vocally.

I think Russell gets the nod as to the face of this team and franchise over Lynch. Lynch will always be an amazing example for how everyone on the team should play every single down, but Russell is the calming force and confidence you want in your leader.

This is Russell's team for the next 10+ years... get used to it fellas.

Mike Robb feels like the team captain on offense for sure.

Red Bryant is the leader on defense but its kinda hard to follow a guy who screws up alot.

seems that maybe two things are being confused here. I think people have been saying that Lynch was the center of the offense, and for good reason, he's put us on his back and carried this team on many occasions. He averaged almost 100 yards per game this season and was very high up there in total carries, even while having a spell there where he was only getting 10 or so touches in our blowouts.

This team did transition though from a run heavy with Lynch offense the first half to a more balanced approach with a run with Lynch, run with Wilson, passing three pronged attack that was much more balanced. This still only works when you have a back like Lynch who can go BEAST at anytime, but I think it's still safe to say as far as leaders go, Wilson is BEAST

Marshawn Lynch embodies the identity of this team (strong, willing, never gives up)

Wilson is the undoubted leader of that though. And I don't think he reflects the identity of the team (yet), if he did, the defense would be at its best with 2 minutes to go

I'm thinking that Lynch would rather have Russell at the mike speaking to the press. Lynch is a work horse.
