Funny, Michael was the one that wanted to be a Seahawk so bad.

Simon goes by Humble Thug.

Both guys seem to want to be maximizing their money.

And this is why I hate .NET sometimes.

So if you're humble or excited to be part of the team, you can't ask your agent to get you the best deal they can? You know, since this is now your job and all?

I like Simon and think he will become necessary, but like Michael, he's not all that relevant in Seattle's immediate plans. IF their agents have been instructed to play hardball with JS, they are in for a rude awakening...thinks me.

Niether man has leverage. Like none.

Michael has already missed numerous games and both players carry the tag of "off-field issues" (whether deserved or not). What will their options be if they ultimately decide to hold out? Miss a year? Their careers will be over before they get started. JS knows this and I sincerely doubt we need be concerned about them not yet signing.

They can't play hardball.. thanks to the rookie scale. TC is 2 months away, they'll be signed long before then.

The fact most of our picks are signed already proves this.

Sometimes I wonder if we watch the same games... Why in the world would MRob be at any risk to his job this year?

I like his potential, but reminds me how much i hate the business side of the 53 man roster sometimes (MROb), but i do respect its reality. I know we carried 5 backs and 6 WRers to start last season. Depending on the injuries of Clem, Scruggs and Thurmond we might have a little flexibility in the roster until week 6 with a chance to test some guys in real games.

I know what you mean. It's likely that both Mike Rob and Ware will make the roster, and I don't think Ware is a short term threat to Robinson, but I just hate any idea of Mike Rob being gone and or replaced. I'm not usually one to get romantic about my Seahawks but last Season was BY FAR my favorite season, and I find myself attached to a lot of players. I guess it's the "downside" of a successful year, although outside of Hasselbeck, I don't think I REALLY gave a hoot about many players from the Holmgren era.

I'm still not totally dialed in on the constraints of rookie contracts.... but I thought they still maintain the ability to battle for guaranteed money, signing bonus' etc. No?

Cuz when it's the players, it's greed, when it's the billionairre owner, it's smart business.

Offense is only getting better!

And others agree!

I watched Ware in college. He has potential. For sure.

Sweet. #2 offense and #1 defense. Of course in the review of our defense, one of the catalysts was the expected emergence of Bruce Irvin, who they felt was likely to have a "pro-bowl year". That was their key factor in ranking us above SF. I personally never felt Irvin would make or break us (this year), but I anticipate 'Footballfortress' will drop our D to #2 now. Could be worse.

For this season – at least – Ware is an insurance policy for MRob. When you get an insurance policy on your perfectly good house, you don't immediately ditch the perfectly good house. No need to jump the gun here.

MRob is the man until he physically breaks down and I don't think anyone can say he even came close to slowing down at any time last year. Also, there's no harm in giving a few of his reps to Ware to keep them both fresh for the upcoming 19-game season.

What? Who? Ware? When? Why?

Don't worry, I know what to do over and over again after that terrible joke... :229031_banghead:

Kinda excited to see what Ware can do for us. Although I still would hate to see him take MRob's roster spot, granted I do think we weill somehow carry 5 RBs going into the season.
