Bingo. That's why I couldn't troll you guys if I wanted to. Brutal. I've been there.

This was on our guys. They had a chance but couldn't get the job done. They had a 10 pt lead and gave up 14 in the 4th quarter. Cannot throw that int at that point in the game, you have to see the safety if you are about to get 22M or more a year. Pats did what they needed, Seahawks didn't. Kearse's drop on 3rd down up 10 is the game changer.

They didn't put the Patriots away in that 3rd quarter, they didn't execute. Didn't the Defense give the Offense 3 stops of New England in that quarter? But, when they gave up that 3rd and 14, I knew the Hawks would be in for a battle. I was disappointed the Offense didn't take advantage when they could have just about had them by the throats. I guess we credit the Patriots D - at least to some degree - for keeping them in the game at that point?

There were countless missed opportunities. I could list more, but no sense in beating myself up over it. It's done. It's over. I had to get over my misery ASAP because my 11 year old son has become just as big a fan as I am and I needed to go console him a bunch so he could go to sleep. He was sniffling and kept telling my wife "They should have just given it to Lynch."

Yeah, it's sort of hard to wrap one's mind around a team being crowned "Champion" over the difference of one play - especially a call that is going to be so scrutinized. But, that's football. You can actually look back over the history of the league and see other similar examples. But, yes... I thought of the 49ers more recent near miss.
