I agree but they took the team and moved, nothing has made any sense
about it since.
This includes people wanting to support a league that literally stole their team,I
cannot understand that either.
Supporting the league part is probably fear of missing out. Your city can't win a championship if it's not in it. Better to be in the tent pissing out etc...

I'm not a huge basketball fan but if a future Seattle team makes the finals i'll sure as heck watch, buy a t-shirt etc. I didn't follow the NHL before the Kraken came. I got hooked the season they made the play offs. I don't watch every game or anything like I would the Seahawks but it's something I never care about before.

I think I would qualify as a gigantic sonics fan. seasons tickets, watched every game, sat courtside center court more than once. LOVED the sonics. the NBA is dead to me. Mid 90's were the NBA's zenith and it's been on a death spiral ever since. the product sucks and I hope the NBA goes bankrupt.

The NBA is such a joke league. I am not even sure if I would go to a Sonics game if they come back. It's just not what it was in the mid 90's.

What, you don't appreciate everyone chucking up 3's the whole game? Or feeding one guy the entire game just to get in the record books? You're no fun.

You didn't see Lebum saying the game today is harder than the 80's to early
2000s?
I was laughing and like what? A 41yr old is able to play 22 years in something
that looks soft as a roll of Charmin.

Same here. I started drifting away from the NBA well before the Sonics left. The last NBA game that I've watched whistle to whistle was when Michael Jordan and the Bulls faced off against John Stockton and the Jazz in the NBA Finals, mid to late 90's if I recall.

Part of it is a generational/cultural thing with me. The hip-hop music at every interlude was a complete turn-off. The other part is the style of play, too much emphasis on the 3-point shot.

If the Sonics return, I'll make my best effort to warm up to the game again. I was able to do that with baseball last season with the Mariners finally becoming relevant as my interest in that game had begun to wane as well. Being that they'll be an expansion team, there's going to be a period of time before they're fun to watch. But I'll try.

Yawn.
Fortunately, real basketball is still played at the college level. The "pro's" have forgotten the ball is round and is supposed to be bounced, not carried like a football. Oh, and most need a refresher of what the word defense means. Now get off my lawn! :)

Every comment on this on news articles is something about how they actually won't come due to the millionaires tax or how how this will cause the seahawks to leave
