Something I just noticed about the Browns game...

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this or not, but I was watching this video:

At 2:20 in, you can see a great angle of the first touchdown run that the Seahawks made against the Browns...

Geno looks like he's staring down DK the whole time after the ball is snapped, and even the guy in the video is mentioning it. I thought staring down your receiver that you're going to throw to was a big no-no in the pros?

That’s a misconception. In this particular situation DK had only single coverage. He recognized it and didn’t need to read the rest of the field. If the throw is on target a guy like DK will get the ball 9/10 times. He read this correctly and threw the ball perfectly.

Exactly, pre-snap moves exposed single coverage on DK and Geno knew where he was going. Reading the frozen safety due to 3 WR on mid-routes on the open side of the field, Geno knows he can target the endzone on his pass.

I for one don't have a problem with one of the offensive gameplans going forward is. "DK 1:1 is always open for a jump ball"
I agree. I was also happy to see JSN running more vertical routes. Last year it seemed JSN was targeted mostly on shallow crossers and not much downfield. So far, Grubb appears to be doing a better job utilizing the Hawks's talent at WR than Waldron did.

The Browns' secondary isn't that bad and it was great to see Geno/DK pick them apart on that play.

They can use him on go's, but his value lies in seperation/agility and intellect...not top end speed. Grubb is getting him downfield more and I like that. To me, mid routes and slants that allow him to take advantage of D's will be vastly improved over last year.

And it should happen no less than 5x a game.

I think our WR set is going to cause a lot of problems for other teams!
