No offense and don't take this as an insult but we don't run up the score. When Mike Smith has a huge lead he goes conservative and tries to run out the clock. That stat could be much higher if they wanted it to be.
Hmmm...
Not sure I bye that one. I can see your argument about the Hawks to a point. But I'm not gonna appologize for what I can't control, especially since the Seahawks have been on the receiving end of that several times over the years. I'm gonna give a hypothetical. Lets say that the Seahawks didn't score any points in the 2nd half of any of their three straight blow out victories (feels good just typing that btw

). It wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game if the seahawks had driven the lenght of the field, took a few knees and turned it over on downs. But for the 2nd half of the season their average point total would have still been just over 27ppg. That is a big improvement from the first half at 17.5ppg. It shows a large improvement in entire team production over the course of the season.
If you compare that to what ATL did over the second half of the season, the numbers are almost identicle to the Hawks. Your argument MIGHT have had some merrit on a few of the games early in the season, but the truth is ATL had only two huge leads in games over the 2nd half. Both of them were ultimately blowouts. You can't convice me that your HC pulled his foot off the gas in the Giants game... maybe he did and maybe he didn't against Detroit, I wasn't watching.
All teams leave points on the field. I'm sure ATL did, and I know the Seahawks did because I watched the games... All in all, IMHO it's a wash. The real story
:th2thumbs: is HOW the Seahawks have scored. By my quick count 5td's were scored by our D and special teams over the 2nd half of the season, with those two squads accounting for a few more opportunities for the O.
When it's all said and done the only thing that really matters is what happens on Sunday. Good luck to your team, I belive they are going to need it... GO SEAHAWKS!
