Winfield makes two of the top 10 lists on there, too.

Man, our defense is going to be absolutely frightening this year. I can't wait. 40-10, 40-13 should be common-ish scores for many of our games.

Looking at the schedule.

1 Sep 8 10:00AMPDT ) AT Panthers
2 Sep 15 5:30PMPDT ' 49ers
3 Sep 22 1:25PMPDT * Jaguars
4 Sep 29 10:00AMPDT ) AT Texans
5 Oct 6 10:00AMPDT ) AT Colts
6 Oct 13 1:05PMPDT * Titans
7 Oct 17 5:25PMPDT , AT Cardinals
8 Oct 28 5:40PMPDT + AT Rams
9 Nov 3 1:05PMPST ) Buccaneers
10 Nov 10 10:00AMPST ) AT Falcons
11 Nov 17 1:25PMPST ) Vikings
12 BYE
13 Dec 2 5:40PMPST + Saints
14 Dec 8 1:25PMPST ) AT 49ers
15 Dec 15 10:00AMPST ) AT Giants
16 Dec 22 1:05PMPST ) Cardinals
17 Dec 29 1:25PMPST ) Rams

Jaguars, Vikings, Titans, Rams (H?) and Cardinals (H?) are the ones I would feel somewhat confident in hitting the > 40 pts mark and holding opponent < 15 pts. But I am conservative by nature when it comes to enthusiastic support of the home team versus the unwashed opponents they will strike down.

Hopefully we beat SF 49-0 both times. You know, to honor them.

I believe the rule of three would apply nicely here.

That plus, you know, scoring 50 is such a Harbaugh "deal", anyway. It's just classy to keep it at 49.

I'd be happy to see SF in the playoffs if it means we get to crush their championship dreams in it.

I'd love to be the Dallas Cowboys to the San Francisco 49ers from the 90s. Kick 'em out of the NFCCG a bunch of times. Hell, I'd prefer it to happen in round two after our annual bye week for wild card weekend just to crush their hopes earlier, but whatever works.

It's funny how this board rankes Sherman so much higher than Browner, and many people state Browner is the most expendable of our secondary, and he goes and makes 2 top 10 lists. Maybe I"m reading it wrong, but he looked damn good in YAC in the first chart, then didn't make the top 10 in the YAC chart.

I've watched Browner just maul people and take them out of a game. It's nice to know he's damn good when teams actually get a chance to throw at him as well. No, I'm not saying Browner is better than Sherm, but he's definately under appreciated on this board.

I also second the nightmare that is our starting 3 CB's. Good grief, when we bring the Nickle CB in, teams will pretty much have to throw the bubble screen out of their playbook.

Browner has his weaknesses out there against the real burners (as was exposed by Mike Wallace a few years back), but unless you have freakish speed; BB's going to own your ass. He's a press cover BEAST. He's an absolute mauler.

I think Sherm gets a little more love here because he's so much more well rounded than BB, but BB is great at what he does. He's like Wolverine; "I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn't very nice..."

Those are some nice numbers. Lets just hope they translate onto the field again this year. Secondary has to be dominant for us again this year.

Dominant would be nice; I just don't want them to have to carry the defense this year. Improving our pass rush (for the full season, not half of it) would make their jobs a hell of a lot easier.

...in his second ever game in the NFL.

You might see Browner get burned by a WR once maybe TWICE in a game absolute max now, but you won't see that happen again.

The players he struggles against most are the ones with the most agility - double moves etc - Brandon Lloyd was a nightmare when he was a Ram, but Browner coped well with just about every WR he faced last year. In fact, I'd love to see who got targetted more out of him and Sherman in the 12 games they played together

I can't remember who it was, but Browner really impressed me with his speed when he ran down a guy from behind and brought him down inside the five. Saved the touchdown on that play and it was against someone pretty darned fast. Anyone remember who that was?

Yes, Browner ran down and tackled Adrian Peterson inside the five...AP's pretty sluggish though... :D
