In this day and age, tracking data and metrics is certainly “a thing”.

“Official Stats” is something different, but I’m all for monitoring/measuring performance of all aspects of the game.

Should something like this become an official statistic I’m ok with it.

With the money/salaries involved, why not keep up with as much information as possible?

Well I like it, too, as it further illustrates just who was able to really get open and who wasn't.
